May 24, 20233 yr Hello Jean-Luc I'm looking at updating my P3D to v5.4. Can you confirm that v2.5.30 will work with it or do we need to wait for a new RXP version? Thanks Ian
May 24, 20233 yr I can't answer your question but historically it will require a patch for the autopilot to follow the GNSS flight path properly. Hopefully JL is still active and will issue a patch if needed. David Porrett
May 26, 20233 yr I am also very interested in this topic. I'm waiting for that patch before installing P3D v5.4 because I'm too hamfisted to keep the ILS needles lined up when in IMC in my A2A P-51D Civ.
May 27, 20233 yr I'm also holding on to update until my addons are ready. Only recently I replaced the F1 GTN with the one from RXP and I hope this was no dead end street like before. OS=WIN11 Home, Sim=P3D5 5.3 (P3D4 and FSX for install reasons) Addons=ORBX, ASCA, AS, TOGA and tons of sceneries, aircraft MB=Gigabyte AORUS Z790 Elite AX, CPU=i13900K, Cooling=Be quiet! Pure Loop II FX GPU=KFA2 RTX3090 24 GB, RAM=64 GB DDR5-5600, HOTAS=Logitech G Saitek X52 Pro Visit my website for fixes and addons: https://sites.google.com/view/dans-p3d-mods
May 27, 20233 yr Author Fellow Avatars. Jean-Luc has done his magic and there is a new version of RXP (2.6.1.0) which is compatible with P3D v5.4. Just note when you install it the version in the VC still says 2.5.30 but have no fear it is the new version. Just tested it and we have our AP coupling back as before. Go get it and big up for JL. Ian
May 28, 20233 yr Thank you very much Jean-Luc! I'm extremely glad that RXP is here for us P3D pilots. Just shot a zero-drama ILS approach into Fairchild Intl (KCLM) in my A2A Cessna 182. Yeah, the eye candy in MSFS is really enticing, but I believe P3D is still where it's at for immersion, especially during IMC. Thank you ATB
June 1, 20233 yr Jean-Luc - thanks for the update! Could you remind me: can I just run the new RXP 2.6.11 installer over my existing P3D5.3 HF2 RXP GTN touch installation (2.5.3.0 and Trainer 3.2.3.0)? Will the installer offer to download the trainer update, or should I update the Trainer first and then run the RXP installer? Chuck O

Chuck O Reporting success running installer 2.6.11 then going to existing Garmin Trainer v3.2.3 and accepting options to update the trainer and all the Xi updates and new databases. All seems working with no tweaks to existing installations...
