"“The bottom line is that the best, most cost effective and most sustainable way to combat harmful indoor air contaminants in your workplace and home is to introduce plants.”"

Oh good grief! 🙄

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

"The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) conducted research using popular varieties of ornamental plants to determine their effectiveness in removing several key pollutants associated with indoor air pollution. Their findings include the following:

"Spider plants placed in closed chambers with 120 parts per million (ppm) of carbon monoxide remove 96 percent of the contaminant in 24 hours. Similarly, spider plants placed in closed chambers with 50 ppm of nitrogen oxide remove 99 percent of it from the air in 24 hours."

"According to the NASA/ALCA research, the 10 plants most effective in removing formaldehyde, benzene, trichloroethylene and carbon monoxide from the air are:

Bamboo palm (Chamaedorea seifrizii)
Chinese evergreen (Aglaonema modestum)
English ivy (Hedera helix)
Gerbera daisy (Gerbera jamesonii)
Janet Craig (Dracaena fragrans "Janet Craig")
Marginata (Dracaena marginata)
Mass cane/corn plant (Dracaena fragrans "Massangeana")
Mother-in-law's tongue (Sansevieria trifasciata laurentii)
Pot mum (Chrysanthemum morifolium)
Peace lily (Spathiphyllum "Mauna Loa")"

The thing is, just one or two plants aren't going to be enough. On the other hand, the Ambius Green Wall seems a bit extreme.

About 40 years ago, I used to have a large Swedish Ivy plant in my apartment, mostly because I wanted something green and easy to maintain and propagate. Any purification of the air was just a bonus. I see there has been one in the Oval Office since 1961.

The only problem is that someone has to water them when you are away on vacation.

So, then, English ivy is near the top of the list.

We've had plants in our house from time to time.  But our house was a hospice for plants.  That's where we brought them to die.  We did great with outside plants, but not with indoor plants.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.
