Garmin avionics power-on issue in GA aircraft

Featured Replies

Not sure if there's a conflict issue on my end or an issue with the add-ons themselves.  Two payware aircraft I have, have lost the ability to power on their avionics suite with their latest updates. Clicking the switch that should give power to the Garmins has no effect:

1. Carenado's PA28

2. Pilot Experience Maule M7-235

Not sure if this is an issue on my end or with these add-ons.  Knowing how Carenado is I at first thought it was just them as I had no problem with avionics power before but with my just purchased Maule I may have a MOD conflict somewhere.  Has anyone seen this issue with these two planes or any aircraft in general with a Garmin suite?😕 All my other aircraft work fine including the other Carenado aircraft I have in my hanger.

I have a similar problem with Just Flight's PA-28R Turbo III. It jumps directly to page 1 of the NAV group in the 530 and the 430. And because there is no splash screen I don't know how to tell what version I'm in. I'm assuming I use WT's version. I can't power on or power off both 530 / 430 and I don't have any other payware planes installed. Not too many things in the community folder either.

Are you guys using any NAV radio/GPS MODS at all?

Nothing on my end. It's strange only two aircraft are affected.

That is a strange one. Perhaps try reinstalling Carenado and see if that helps.

What avionics suite are you trying to use in those planes? The PMS50 GTN750?

I tried Asobo's, PMS50, and GTN750 which are all options in the Maule and nothing works.  Carenado uses two of these, same problem.  Again the problem is only in these two aircraft on my end. Other aircraft calling for these gauges work just fine. Very strange.😶

Assignments conflict for external controls? Are you using profiles?  Try by disconnecting all controls and trying to start the avionics with your mouse.

Do you have the PMS50 compatibility fix installed in your community folder? You need it for some planes if you are using the PMS GTN750 and the AAU2 Beta and have the WT GNS530 installed from the content manager.

Thanks, I'm not using any controls for avionic switches.  I control them all from the VC.

I should have said this earlier to take this off the table, don't know what I was thinking.🥴

Not yet, I'll give that a try later today. Thx.  For the record I'm not using the AAU2 beta, this may not apply to me.

If you are not in the beta this is the version to try: https://pms50.com/msfs/wt-gns530-compatibility/
