It’s still there in an unofficial capacity. I don’t blame developers for wanting to protect their software in this age where piracy is so rife. Supplying your name has never been a problem for me. Been doing it for 20+ years too.

Likewise but I fear today in social media now the atmosphere has become more toxic and is becoming the norm.

AvSim can’t do much about the outside world but we can and frequently do maintain standards in this one. Some places are like the Wild West. I’m certain I don’t want to be a member of those clubs.
