Hi everyone

I am looking to upgrade to i9 13900k on asus rog strix  z790  E.

I am struggling to decide between g skill and team group T  ram.

I am thinking of this.

TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert

2 x 16GB) 7200MHz (PC5-57600) CL34 A-DIE Desktop Memory Module Ram Black -

on amazon @   £146.00

I will grateful if anybody anyone has this ram and what do they think.

Or can you please advise alternative.

As long as your motherboard has the latest bios and meets Asus's QVL for the DDR5 you want, you should be okay. But sometimes even though it meets Asus QVL, you won't be able to reach the speeds as advertised and probably have to manually set you timings, etc. in order to get the speeds you want. It could be the CPU holding the speed back (in your case the 13900k should be fast enough), ram in wrong slots, 4 slots of ram filled, not enough voltage, other times it could be the motherboard itself. it's hit and miss today and I think it's because quality control has gone down in components. Just my opinion though. Good luck with your build.

Go to Asus website find your MB in the support section and it will tell what ram and speeds that are supported.

^This!

I have that MB and it's been a great performer.

Admintadly it was some years ago, but I recall once buying T Group RAM and it was never able to get anywhere near its advertised clock speed. ALways had to down grade it...
