June 15, 20232 yr Been busy with life....here is my arrival into MSP in the wonderful FlightFX Cirrus Vision Jet. New freeware scenery here: https://flightsim.to/file/55840/minneapolis-st-paul-international-kmsp Descending on the BLEUM4 star we get our first glimpse of KMSP airport dead ahead Untitled-25 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Passing over Airlake KLVN Untitled-26 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Passing over work Untitled-27 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Passing over my house (just under the nose by the sports complex) Untitled-28 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Passing by KFCM where I used to work in the tower..from here the tracon controllers will vector me for sequence and onto the ILS Untitled-30 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr This is essentially a radar downwind (like a traffic pattern but wider and you'll talk to the approach controllers) Untitled-32 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Even with the smoke from Canadian wildfires there are plenty of boaters out with the warm weather Untitled-33 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Joining the ILS12R Untitled-34 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-35 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-36 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Georeferenced plates are nice to haves! June 15, 20232 yr Interesting (and detailed) arrival. The smoke looked pretty convincing in a few of those lower altitude shots.
June 16, 20232 yr Ryan loves his Cirrus Jet, looks great and is so, so quiet...saw my first one at LAX. Darryl
June 17, 20232 yr Exceptionally sharp series of images, Ryan...with this pretty and peppy a/c....enjoyed it all...! And, sure, flying over your backyard...and into your hometown airport must always feel nice...Of course, I would also presume that you (professionally and competently) vectored yourself for the arrival...🙂... (no short-cuts taken as I might take recourse to myself...) ...
