June 20, 20232 yr Hey guys, flew into KLAS just now (and last nigh too).. the winds were really strong... 29 gusting to 38! I, wondering what the max crosswind for the A320 is before you need to go around or fly to the alternate? As soon as i disconnected the AP at 500ft, the crabbing needed was unreal! ( Curious also if others disconnect at 500 feet or before) Very challenging! I would have hated to be a passenger on my flight ! June 20, 20232 yr Version 2 of the FENIX A320 will, supposedly, bring better aerodynamics for landing and takeoff in x-winds. As it is right now, it's too difficult and unrealistic for the replication of techniques used IRL.
