Okavango Delta in Marketplace?

Featured Replies

I purchased SWS Okavango Delta a while back.  Pretty sure it was on the Marketplace for a short time.

I'd like to get the update for this but haven't noticed this scenery on the Marketplace for some time.  Anyone else know how to get the update?

Thank you,

Mark

Best Regards,

Mark

I know that Orbx hosts the file, so perhaps there? If you bought it on marketplace you should be able to do it through there. Perhaps uninstall it then go back and re-install?

All I had to do was click the Download link on the original receipt, and I was sent the new version.

I used Paypal to purchase from SimWorks Studios. Searched email inbox for "Okavango."

You can try signing in to your account at SimWorks Studios, but I wasn't able to do that.

Thanks, but no luck.

Nothing in my email and no account at SWS or the major stores.  I'm almost certain it was obtained from MS Marketplace, but hasn't been in Marketplace for some time now.

It's one small update for one small product, but would be nice if I could obtain it.

Best,

Mark

You could do a search on the folder immediately underneath your Official folder for words like  Okavango. If a folder has that name, then you bought it from the marketplace. If a folder has that name in Community, then it was not purchased in the marketplace.

Thank you!

A search did find the Okavango files under my FlightSim folder.  That confirms it was a MarketPlace purchase?

in a case like this, when the add-on has been removed from the Marketplace, how can I get the update or re-install if needed?

Best Regards,

Mark

Normal installation includes a Packages folder. Under that folder are Community and Official folders. Under Official is another folder (the name of which is different for Steam and Microsoft Store versions of MSFS. Those two folders are where package folders are found.

The folder containing the Okavango files should be under Community (3rd party purchase) or under Official (MarketPlace purchase). If it is under neither Official  nor Community then Okavango is will not show up in MSFS (i.e. the Okavango package is not installed).

I've never heard of a MarketPlace purchased package, like Okavango, not showing up in MSFS Installation Manager if the package was purchased in the MSFS Marketplace. Even if you deleted a purchased package from your hardrive, it should always still show up in MSFS Installation Manager under a heading showing it needs to be downloaded again and then installed again.

I purchased the Okavango Delta mod on the Marketplace and I've just checked and everything fine with it.

It looks like the update is forthcoming for people that purchased OD in the MarketPlace.  Currently, it's at v1.1.1.  The enhanced v1.2 is pending MarketPlace approval according to SWS.

A big thank you to SWS for their prompt responses.
