RTX 4060 ti

Featured Replies

I have RTX 4060 ti and I have had trouble with msfs occulus vr, I have i7, the sim just won't run it's like I don't have the min. spec it just freezes. I can't get the TBM off the runway. before I purchased the 4060 I had 1080 and it was ok but grainy, I have lowered the settings, maybe i have not lowered enough, if I run outside VR I can get up to 60-70 fps, I should mention that iRacing in VR is good, also I call myself upgrading and I purchased DPVR E4 and I had the same results, I plan on sending back. I was trying to upgrade. so can anyone help out with this problem, should just lower all the settings and start from there, or is it the card?

Are you using a link cable? Or are you using airlink.

Have you tried the default VR settings?

Deactivate traffic? (saves a lot of frames)

I had been using the link cable cause airlink don't work at all. but the DPVR E 4 is pcvr and it wasn't working, I will try default.

You might find it illuminating to purchase Virtual Desktop (for your oculus) and see how things go. I've found it to be able to make a successful connection where airlink repeatedly falls/fell flat, and once connected the image in the headset was not only higher framerate but very noticeably sharper.

It also allowed me to access both my dedicated Oculus and steamvr titles from the same screen, amongst other features.

I ignored this software for years, but once I got desperate enough to try it, I could have kicked myself for being so stubborn. 😕

Maybe this video can help you to understand what settings you can change to have better performance and know how each setting change the performance in the sim.

& a tip for when cabled Link works & AirLink does not,

fully uninstall then reinstall the Oculus PC app - this does make AirLink work…

(of course, you need good router setup)
