I flew about a third of all the stages so far. And I found a much more convenient way than having to build a flightplan.

First of all, all stages start and end in the vicinity of an airfield that can services helicopters (one might think that is done on purpose 😉 )

The only thing you need now is LittleNavmap.

Go to Velowire and then to the subsection that has all the stages:

https://www.velowire.com/article/1116/en/the-tour-de-france-2023-race-route-on-open-street-maps-and-in-google-earth--stage-profiles-and-time--and-route-schedules.html

At the end of that write up you will find a link to a KMZ file of all the stages, which you can then import into Littlenavmap.

Those routes will then show up on your flight map. Now you only need to choose a Helicopter of your choice, use Littlenavmap as your moving map and follow the route on the map by hand.

No flightplan needed. Just pick the nearest Airfield to the starting point of each leg and then navigate your way to the actual start.

I can recommend the first 3 Stages in Spain, then you can skip the 4th, then fly the 5th and 6th, then do the 9th and 10th then skip ahead to 13 and do the rest.

If you have a VR Setup that is quite the experience, especially in a Heli like the Cabri and if you try to fly no faster than 60-80knots and no higher than 750ft AGL.

Depending on the length of the leg that will take you between 90 Minutes and 2 Hours per leg.
