July 26, 20232 yr TDS uses the Garmin trainer, so has the features of the real unit. However, it uses an older Nav database. PMS unit is not as feature rich but you can keep the Nav data fully up to date. July 26, 20232 yr And the tds is a newer xi bringing some more real unit features. The pms is not 100% close to the real but doing its job on the sim nav data as posted above. Both have their pros and cons so more a religious question. Pricing model on the pms one con to mention. In the end its the question do you want it as real as it gets with the tds based on the garmin trainer or happy with a close to real but based in sim only. Cheers T.
July 26, 20232 yr I have the TDS and I am really happy with it. No problems, and the screen is pin sharp. As others have said, it is basically an exact duplicate of the real system. The PMS is fine, but I don't like the pricing model, and I cannot find a reason to use it when the TDS is the exact copy of the Gamin unit - as real as it gets! Either way, whichever one you buy, you can't really go wrong, but I just have a preference for the TDS unit. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). July 26, 20232 yr TDS - duplicate real GTN. Has a good price and licence terms. Prepare3Dv5, MSFS / TUF ASUS Z790 PRO / I9 14900K @ 5.8 GHz / GSkill 64 GB DDR5 6000 MHZ CL30 / RTX4070TI 12G / Windows 11 Home / Monitor Philips 436M6VBPAB / Force Feedback Yoke / Thrustmaster PTR rudder pedals
July 26, 20232 yr I had the TDS type from Flight one in P3D and hated it. I got the PMS paid version now, it works great, and is always up to date all over the world.
