No cockpit instrument illumination on default v6 aircraft???

Featured Replies

So... I pretty much have a vanilla v6 install with the Majestic Q400 because it's really the only aircraft supported on P3D in official capacity. Try this... Fire up the good old Carenado Commander that comes default with P3D v6 at night and good luck getting any lights on the dash... Did they completely overlook the default aircraft in terms of it being compatible with their own new version? Or am I missing something? v6 looks pretty decent out of the box, but the lack of lights on default AC is concerning.

I saw a post on the P3D forum from a developer reporting an issue with gauge lighting too.

And there is a post in the flysimware forum about changes to gauge glass transparency.

There was also a report about a P3D v6 issue with xml tools.

That's the problem with updates, pros being updated and improved, cons being items previously working broken.

Hopefully LM are onto the introduced issues.

Cheers

Have you installed patch 3?  The Commander instrument lights work just fine for me at night.  Dusk/Dawn is still problematic though and LM is, supposedly, working on it.

Yes, I am on the latest… as a matter of fact, I haven’t seen night gauges work on the Electra either. But now that you mention it, I believe it was dusk, not night… Hmmm. Now I am gonna be curious to try it at night when I get home.

OK, so yes. Tried night yesterday and the lights are on in Commander. It's definitely a dusk and dawn problem. Weird!
