September 21, 20232 yr Hello, I'm using the Cessna 172 G1000 and I can't get the AP engaged. In stabilized flight between 2 airports, I indicate my HDG, I press AP and HDG. The AP indicator flashes yellow and turns off a few seconds later. Same thing when I use NAV mode. The GPS indicator is displayed in white and stays that way. I am surely missing something. Can anyone help me? Thank you in advance. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700F - RAM 32 - RTX 3070 - SSD Blue 1T - Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog - Track IR - Optical fiber MSFS 2020/2024 Premium Deluxe
September 21, 20232 yr Does the AP turn off right after turning it on? It could be that the AP turns off when the yoke/joystick is moved significantly, or when there is heavy turbulence. I doubt if the latter is simulated in the default Cessna though. If another device is connected that also controls axes or the AP that could turn off the AP as well. September 21, 20232 yr Author Thanks Alvega. The default one ... I did a test with an empty Community folder. Same result. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700F - RAM 32 - RTX 3070 - SSD Blue 1T - Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog - Track IR - Optical fiber MSFS 2020/2024 Premium Deluxe
September 21, 20232 yr Author I delete and re install (download) all the contents 172 G1000 and G1000 itself. Same result. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700F - RAM 32 - RTX 3070 - SSD Blue 1T - Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog - Track IR - Optical fiber MSFS 2020/2024 Premium Deluxe
September 21, 20232 yr Which G1000 module are you installing? After previous sim updates the Working Title version is supposed to be integrated for all default aircraft that have it (meaning you shouldn't have any other modded G1000 sitting in the Community folder). September 21, 20232 yr Author I don’t knew that. It was GARMIN G1000 NXI (0.14.0) by WORKING TITLE SIMULATION and WORKING TITLE G1000 NXI (1.2.3) by WORKING TITLE SIMULATION This idea seems very interesting. I think I should remove them. You confirme ? Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700F - RAM 32 - RTX 3070 - SSD Blue 1T - Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog - Track IR - Optical fiber MSFS 2020/2024 Premium Deluxe
September 21, 20232 yr Author I removed GARMIN G1000 NXI (0.14.0) by WORKING TITLE SIMULATION right now but i can't WORKING TITLE G1000 NXI (1.2.3) by WORKING TITLE SIMULATION. Unfortunately after that, same result. September 22, 20232 yr Author Thanks CapnCrunch The WORKING TITLE G1000 NXI (1.2.3) by WORKING TITLE SIMULATION that remain is a program used by the default aircraft, is not it ? And it matchs with a "workingtitle-instruments-g1000" directory in the Official folder. September 22, 20232 yr check your key bindings for peripherals like Honeycomb, Joysticks etc. I had a similar effect until I corrected the key assignments. you can check and temporarily remove all USB input devices except mouse and keyboard. September 23, 20232 yr Author Bingo turbomax. How did I do it ? I unplugged the USB sockets from my Joystick, throttle and rudder. Then I started a flight in air with a destination airport. I activated the autopilot which worked ... To identify the controller that is malfunctioning, I gradually put my controllers back on. First my rudder and it still worked. I then plugged my joystick back in and it still worked. Finally, I put the throttle and bingo back, it didn't work anymore ... So that would be the throttle and I'm going to investigate that. Thanks turbomax. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700F - RAM 32 - RTX 3070 - SSD Blue 1T - Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog - Track IR - Optical fiber MSFS 2020/2024 Premium Deluxe
September 23, 20232 yr 33 minutes ago, Dom74 said: To identify the controller that is malfunctioning the controller is not necessarily malfunctioning, but one of its switches might have been assigned previously by you or by default to AUTOPILOT on/off. you can check/change/reassign that all in the Controller section of MSFS. which throttle do you use? it must be more than a throttle, more something like my Honeycomb, which has throttle and several switches and buttons, which can be assigned to anything in the Controller settings, including AUTOPILOT on/off. the assignment might have been there by default, without your knowledge. but that would affect not only the G1000, but any autopilot device that uses the same joystick/throttle button. it's always a good idea to list your equipment in your signature, makes it much easier for others to identify problems like this. September 23, 20232 yr Author I use Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and yes, i have an AUTOPILOT on/off assignment. I'll try tro remove it. Thanks. September 23, 20232 yr enter AUTOPILOT in the SEARCH field under CONTROLS OPTIONS for all possible key bindings that may have been assigned already which then show up in the right column if any have been assigned, and graphically on the right image of my Honeycomb Bravo. you can delete any unwanted and reassign new ones as you like. nothing wrong with your throttle.
