September 29, 20232 yr Having gone through the ballache of slow ms servers and installing SU13 I am left with one issue which pertains to the logbook (Everything else seems positive so far). Initially I thought that the sim was crashing when I selected logbook but it seems to hang for around 10 minutes whilst the logbook is loading then comes back to life. During this 10 minute period I can do nothing with the sim or even shut it down. How many of you are experiencing this issue and are there enough of us to cause ms/asobo to release a patch to fix it? Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
September 29, 20232 yr Sounds like the same issue. Hang time seems to vary between users. I'd suggest joining that discussion to keep things together. September 29, 20232 yr Similar to what I experienced except the logbook hung for like 20-30 seconds which seemed like an eternity.
September 30, 20232 yr I read on the MSFS site that the slow open time might be related to 2 issues. 1. Following MS hype of everything to the cloud (that becomes a storage/money issue for MS), regardless of impact on User. 2. Someone made decision to compress (which requires a uncompressed on open) but NO warning (ie,e, PLEASE Wait DECOMPRESSING) message.
