Since SU14 update I had attempted to do two flights with the C310R. One ended in the screen freezing, had to do a cold shut down via the computer power button. The second resulted in a BSOD. So I did the same route from KFWQ to KERI with the A2A Comanche and completed the flight without a problem. Just wondering if the SU14 update may have had an adverse affect on the C310R. Anyone else having an issue?

Are you using any enhancements to the 310?  GPS, liveries, etc?

Just one livery other than what comes with the plane. No GPS enhancements, just WT basic. Although, when trying to enter flight plan in GNS 530 I’ve been getting double entries. Haven’t had that in a while.

Step 1 is to check the MIlviz support site.
Step 2, based on step 1 would be to uninstall the 310 and reinstall it from scratch.

But check the Milviz support first.  Too many suggestions surface here with drastic recommendations, like totally reinstall windows, then MSFS.  Most of those are hogwash.  Take it a resonable step at a time.  And scrutinize your MSFS addons.  I hope you are using the indispensible Addons Linker application to manage the addons you have in use.  If not, I strongly recommend you do.  Then if using that app, remove all addons and try flying with none, only the 310.  If you are using Addons Linker that change can be accomplished in less than a minute.  Certainly is not time wasted.

I have, but have not flown the 310 since SU14.  Perhaps I can do so tomorrow.  In the meantime it does not appear there are other reports of conflicts.  Have you read of any?

I've been flying the 310 a lot these past few weeks and have not had that issue. I'll fly that route here in a few minutes and check it out. What is the livery you added?

Monica6211 - The first, with the screen freezing, flightsim.to N511MB, the second was with N5225J, came with the C310R purchase. Because there were double entries in the flight plan I’m wondering if it has something to do with the WT GNS530.

I’ll check on Milviz/Blackbird site as well. If you flew the route it was KFWQ DUMBY RWY24RNAV KERI, no addon airports involved. Once again, as I was entering route I was getting double entries, ie; KFWQ followed by KFWQ. I thought WT had sortedthat issue already, haven’t encountered it for a while. Will also consider addon linker to help trouble shoot. THANKS, any help or suggestions appreciated.

Milviz/Blackbird forum doesn’t show any complaints of this issue. I had purchased the 310 via ORBX. Uninstalled, then reinstalled, shows SP3 as the current version. Perhaps I’ll try flying the route tomorrow, tired and vodka is kicking in. Thanks everyone, let me know if you come up with anything.

I flew that route twice, each of those liveries, and did not have any issues. I also didn't get the double waypoint when entering the plan into the GNS530 on either flight. Do you also load the PMS GNS530? If so, remove it and give it a try. If not, then I'm not sure what else to try. If you need me to try anything else for you just let me know.

I have been flying the C310R quite a lot in the SU14 beta without any issues. I am now doing an IFR flight from LFBP to EDLS in this aircraft.
If you have the PMS750 installed, make sure it is updated and you have the latest WTT file for the C310R installed.

Sometimes an error creeps up in the files where the state of the aircraft (failures etd) are kept. I doubt that will lead to CTD or other issues with the sim itself but you could try resetting these files by deleting (or moving them to a safe place) those files. These are stored in "C:\\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\milviz-aircraft-310\"

When troubleshooting it also helps to temporarily removing third party liveries and the PMS750.

 

Thanks Monica. I do not use the PMS GNS530, so that can be ruled out as a problem (just use stock WT GPS). I can’t think of anything else right now. I’ll try a new flight since uninstalling the 310 along with the third party livery and see what happens.

Just completed the flight, KFWQ to KERI, with the C310R. Fresh install of the aircraft and no third party liveries. No issues with duplicate waypoints in the GNS530. It appears to be sorted for now. Thanks again all, Happy Holidays to you and you families!

Interesting, had a complete system lockup in the Hondajet, just looking around the cockpit mid flight.

Had lots of flights since SU14, no issues - but that is the first time that machine has crashed like that for anything...

I have been trying to access the Milviz site for some while now trying to get the updated version for my C310 - but the I get a 404 error now - any clues as to whats going on?
