Apart from a lack of a tilt function what is not realistic about it's depiction?

I'm not going to open that can of worms yet again. MS says they've fixed it long ago, developers still claim it doesn't work like the actual models and this is basically a table tennis game.

One thing is for sure, the weather radars we have on the A310, MD-82, etc which use the "default" API look absolutely nothing like the real thing and you don't even need to be a pilot to see it.

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

The specific thing developers have been asking for wasn't marked as "Fixed". It's marked as under investigation:

Long thread about it at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/implement-weather-and-terrain-api-s-for-aircraft-developers-to-implement-accurate-radar-predictive-windshear-egpws-and-metar-wind-uplink/442016

But yeah I do hope this is something we can actually get in the end. Even if it is MSFS2024.

That what you think! LOL It looks pretty believable to me. Current limitation is tilt that seeing cell in 3D live volumetric way. But you still can see echo right in front of you in 2D scape and least laterally deviate

Ay radar is better than no radar. Were it possible having storm scope would be interesting too.
