December 31, 20232 yr A very brief update from DFD on their A350 progress and a reminder they are hard at work on it, after ini builds recent A350 project disclosure. https://fselite.net/content/digital-flight-dynamics-shares-a-few-new-a350-previews/ 2024 will be interesting with ini builds fighting against two freeware quality projects (FBW A380 and DFD A350), as they better reach the market before these two freeware monuments of passion and dedication. One can already hear the tumultuous debates on AVSIM and elsewhere about which one is the best! At least one item will be easy to agree upon: Value for money... Unfortunately that update is really brief. Just 2 pictures? Would have loved to read a bit more. And those 2 pics look like they are less far than ini? Anyway, unless DFD screws up completely they should easily win from a value for money point of view. Did DFD do other planes before? Is there any reference I can look into? December 31, 20232 yr Im glad inibuilds is making an A350. I personally dont hyped about renderings as I dont take any of that serious anymore.
December 31, 20232 yr Yeah let's be honest, no freeware dev's have yet done any airliner from ground up. Generally speaking building an airliner from ground up in your spare time is almost impossible. It's a huge task that needs a lot of time and a lot of experience once you get to the FMC / custom AP part, which is why everyone can give you some nice render shots, but never a working FMC. Even the great FBW A32NX - a once-in-a-lifetime effort - is still way off from being totally custom and/or study level and will likely never be. To be honest I'm 99% sure those freeware A380s, A220s, A350s, 757 (?) whatever etc. will never be released, at least in any decent shape. The best bet is the FBW A380 but again I only believe it when I see (/fly) it. Edited December 31, 20232 yr by Fiorentoni For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Zibo is very decent and it's free
