Over the past few months I have had an issue with MSFS repeatedly CTD without any error messages. It seems to be getting closer and closer to the start of the flight. It started after about 3hrs flight, then 1hr, then it just crashed when loading.

 

Is there any way of finding a crash log in the hope to work out what's going on.

 

I have simstaller and the only overrides are from microsoft products themselves, the DC3, aiport EGAO and airport LFNC

Know the feeling. Made a new PC build in December and got CTDs 3 week in a row, nearly unable to fly (only flying VR)

I went trough a lot of options to clear out CTDs and today it's very seldom i get one.

Log files can you find here :

I had a lot of 0xc0000005 errors.

I ran sfc /scannow a few times, even on new new clean Windows install there was a lot errors 

Clean out your DXFiles and clear our FS2020 cache files even if you don't use rolling cache.

Clean out your Community folder. Recommend to use Addons linker from Flightsim.To great utility

Make sure that you don't have any devices/joysticks without any bindings (empty joystick still no-go)

Just uninstall them

And lastly, no overclocking

Run FS2020 as Admin

Hope you will get it sorted out, I'm enjoying every flight now

Interestingly there was no crash report for the CTD when loading, so this is a copy of the last CTD during flight, which was mid Atlantic 

Does it mean anything to anyone? Might as well be in another language to me

Unfortunately my system is overclocked by the manufacturer of the system, as you can tell I'm that computer minded and don't want to risk braking anything there

 

Thank you for your help so far, I'll try and find some time to do a long haul overnight so I don't mind if crashes as much and see how I get on

If you have any add-ons/scenery trough MSFS Marketplace try to uninstall those as well. I had a local airport which causes CTD each time 

I've just done an 11hr EHAM to KLAX flight and the only issue was my "positive" landing.

After any update or if I have suffered any crashes I always check my windows is up to date along with the Microsift store. Then open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following:

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /checkhealth

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /scanhealth

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth

sfc /scannow

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

Then reboot your PC

And the crashes are back. 

 

Think I'm just going to forget MSFS until '24 comes out. I'm not technologically minded enough to dig into route causes. I've just ran all of those command lines in command prompt with no issues found. But if you see anything else in this let me know. I'm now using add-on linker but MSFS isn't worth running without add-ons, for instance I only use the FBW a320 or Horizon 787, FSTL injector and FSHud

Looking at your log you still have all your sceneries in the community folder. The idea behind behind Addon-Linker is that you move all your sceneries (and aircraft) out of the MSFS Community folder into a separate folder and/or drive and then in Addon-Linker only select the sceneries you are using for that session. Addon linker will create shortcut links in your community folder to those sceneries only and it keeps your community folder streamlined

- I would suggest only selecting your departure and arrival airports

- I also wouldn't use toolbar pushback, this has been known to cause crashes in the past.

- Another thing to check is that the modellib.bgl file is unique with every scenery you use. If MSFS comes across two different instances of modellib.bgl it has a fit. There's a tool in Addon Linker in Tools > Modelilbs changer that will automatically rename the modellib file so they are all unique.

I have just gone through my community folder. The only things in there are the hyperlinks (little arrows in the corner of the thumbnails) from Add-on Linker. 

I've just checked the modellib.bgl using add-on linker and there appear to be no conflicts.

I will try and be more flexiable with only using departure and arrival airports. 

Is there another way of pushing back without using the default ATC (as I use FSHud)

Untick all the airports/sceneries you're not flying to and you should see the amount of link's in the community folder decrease. Just test with departure and arrival airport first. Then slowly add more stuff back. Its a right pain and I've spent the last week trying to find out why my sim kept crashing.

That's good there are no conflicts, one more thing to rule out

The only other good push back module is GSX but it is paid. Adds lots of other stuff too like VDGS, refuelling, boarding passengers, cargo etc, Well worth the money but maybe try getting a stable system first before purchasing.

Another thing to try is clearing your caches and the rolling cache in MSFS. Rolling cache can be deleted in MSFS and the other caches like shader cache I use this tool.

I had GSX but don't use it as the sim kept hitting the objects limit meaning when I got tot he destination airport I was just landing in a field 

There's a tickbox in the FSDT manager where you can exclude the extra GSX clutter to help with that issue.
