That wasn't the ? was asking but thank you. Having watched this video previously and set everything as specified, had missed him saying "you can now turn them off in sim settings". Watching it a second time helped 🙂

I thought I answered your question exactly. Perhaps I should have made it clear that I was referring to settings in the Nvidia control box (which allow you to select items in which the sim overrides the global settings), and not to choices you make in MSFS. But I am glad you found the video useful. Personally, I had found earlier that changing settings in the sim itself had no effect whatsoever on the CTDs I was experiencing.
