Hi all

As posted elsewhere I am commencing a 3x 55" 4K TV build also using NLR Flight Simulator Pro for cockpit.  I was planning on using the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo flight controls.  However - I cannot seem to source the Bravo anywhere, all suppliers (I am in Australia) have various dates for backorders.  I have seen a lot of rumours that Honeycomb is going out of business and I'm now wary of having my entire project de-railed.

As such, I need a plan B.  What would people recommend for flight controls if Honeycomb ends up not being available? I will fly a mix of GA and Commercial - first two aircraft will likely be SWS PC-12, and PMDG 737 (this is on MSFS).  Grateful for advice - rudder pedal recommendations also welcomed.

Thanks in advance!

Except for very expensive pedals I would take one of these: Croswind or TM Pendular.

Best cheap ones: Turtle Beach (you can adjust how narrow or wide the two pedals are to each other).

I like the alpha yoke because it is small, takes up little room. The permanent part that stays on the desk does not interfere with my keyboard (I put a velcro on that permanent part and the bottom of my keyboard. It holds the keyboard tight and at a good angle sloping  instead of keyboard flat on desk). While  on the desk, the Alpha yoke is relatively small footprint.  And the mount doesn't hang down very far underneath the desk and so does not strike my knees when legs are on the pedals. The mount also fits thick desks (which I have).

I bought a 2 foot long limp USB cord to replace the stock stiff curled cord (which I'm told can pull apart the electronics due to it's stiffness). This is the cord that goes from yoke to panel (not the cord that goes to the USB hub or computer which is long and works fine).

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

If it is within your budget I can definitely recommend Virpil pedals. I have the VPC Ace Pedals and these things are built like a tank.

I also recently just implemented an "S" curve in the Virpil software and then set all curves for them in the sim to linear. What a massive difference this made, finally I have very fine control for take off rolls and landing where as I always struggled before using the default curves in the sim.

I also just sold my Honeycomb yoke and replaced it with the TCA Boeing Yoke, I fly the PMDG, Fenix, Black Square TBM & Honda Jet with it. Love this thing

For pedals I recommend the MFG Crosswind (as others have before). They are long-lasting, accurate and comfortable to use.

I have a Fulcrum yoke which is perfect but unavailable at the moment. If I had to buy another one at the moment I would probably go for the virtual-Fly Yoko which is a lot more expensive than both the Fulcrum and the Honeycomb.

Finding a good throttle quadrant is quite a challenge at the moment. The Thrustmaster TCA Airbus is great and better than the Boeing version, even when you fly the PMDG737 IMHO. It is not very suitable for props though.
For props, the Virtual-Fly TQ6+ is very nice but expensive. The TQ6+NEO is even better but it costs an arm, leg and perhaps a kidney.
