I'm just completing a new build as well - although mine is focused on triple 55" 4K TVs rather than VR, so can't offer much there sorry. The one thing I will say is when I was researching components there was a lot of info around that stated the 7800x3d was ideal for running MSFS. Like you I am jumping from P3D to MSFS but I was comfortable going with the 7800 rather than the 7900+ options. Hopefully some VR users can comment on the rest. Good luck with the build!

Its all very confusing with multiple sides to the story. Hopefully it will get sorted out in the long term - I guess this is better than a complete collapse of the company with no hope of future production.

Why unnecessary? Plenty of home cockpit rigs use three screens to simulate the field of view of a real cockpit. The PC as specced will be able to handle all three at well above "18fps". I'm going for as much immersion as possible.

I may have spoken too soon ... Alpha shipped but not Bravo sigh ... seems a lot of retailers say they have stock but the moment you pay they switch to "waiting for supplier".

I managed to get an Alpha XPC and a Bravo at the Aerosoft sale - the savings were eaten up by the eye watering shipping cost but I guess that's what I planned to pay anyway!

Hi all As posted elsewhere I am commencing a 3x 55" 4K TV build also using NLR Flight Simulator Pro for cockpit. I was planning on using the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo flight controls. However - I cannot seem to source the Bravo anywhere, all suppliers (I am in Australia) have various dates for backorders. I have seen a lot of rumours that Honeycomb is going out of business and I'm now wary of having my entire project de-railed. As such, I need a plan B. What would people recommend for flight controls if Honeycomb ends up not being available? I will fly a mix of GA and Commercial - first two aircraft will likely be SWS PC-12, and PMDG 737 (this is on MSFS). Grateful for advice - rudder pedal recommendations also welcomed. Hi there Wondering if any home cockpit builders use any of the Next Level Racing (NLR) hardware? I'm looking at a setup with 3x 55" 4K TVs, using their Flight Simulator Pro setup and also the Free Standing Triple Monitor Stand to hold the TVs. I am confused however because on their webpage the specifications tab says "Suitable for all Next Level Racing® Cockpits and Stands" but the next tab on compatible NLR products says "Note that this Monitor Stand is incompatible with the Elite series cockpits, Flight Stand Pro". The flight stand pro is part of the flight simulator pro package. Has anyone out there used these products in their build and can advise on compatibility? Thanks in advance!

Thanks John, what an excellent response. I really appreciate your words. For the record I am 52 and retired - yes a bit early but you only live once! I've been on again and off again with flight simming for many years, mostly on P3D. But now I have the time and resources to take up this wonderful hobby "properly" - as per my recent thread in the hardware sub-forum I am starting out on building a 3x 4KTV screen build. So to some extent, this time is actually is my intent to try and get that ultra setting 🙂 It's daunting when you realise you are about to make a significant financial investment and the fear that one hardware misstep might cripple things. Then sometimes that seems to be the easy part - I'm absolutely aware that the build is just the first step and the configuration will be a journey in and of itself. Previously, I've let this fear stop me from taking the plunge to build something … not realistic. Immersive is a better word I think. I love your golf analogy. I too am a golfer - that's my other hobby - what a superb comparison you drew, I completely understand. I very much am that player and yes I have hit -sometimes - those shots. I know exactly the feeling you are describing. You are right - thats the nirvana I now seek in MSFS. Perhaps if I bring my golf mindset I will enjoy this journey more! I will look up the FSAcademy guides as a starter - thanks.

Respectfully - how does one acquire this knowledge? I think this is probably the real issue - as many have posted, that system looks top end. I'm about to embark on the same journey with a top end machine to run on triple 4K TVs. The thing I fear most is not having the knowledge to optimise it - although I am keen to learn.

ok I just had some advice from a friend who is way more computer savvy, but isn’t a flight simmer. Hi everyone I've been thinking for many years of biting the bullet and going for a multi TV sim build. I basically stopped simming back in 2021 as the constant setup/takedown of peripherals on the family PC was a nightmare. Personal circumstances have given me the time, space and resources to actually build something dedicated. I used to fly on P3D but I've decided it is time to switch and join the MSFS revolution. Unfortunately though I am nowhere near tech savvy enough to go down the full cockpit design and build project. For me it will be very much plug and play style. I have done some research and I have identified pretty much the equipment I want - 3x 55" 4K TVs, Next Level Racing Flight Simulator Pro, Flight controls etc. The one big question is the dedicated PC to drive all this. At the risk of this being yet another "please help me build my PC" thread, I'm finding this aspect really difficult. There is a sea of info out there! I have read much of the info on the intel vs AMD CPU debate, and given this will be a dedicated PC to run MSFS, it looks like the Ryzen 7800X3D is the way to go. Similarly, 4090 GPU seems to be the best choice given the demand from the triple screens. It's the rest of it that has me really uncertain. My budget, while not completely open ended, is good enough to do this properly - enough that for the purposes of the debate I am happy to try and identify the optimal PC to drive this. But I'm also concerned that I don't want to overcook it and buy components that can't be utilised by MSFS. While I am happy to future proof to some extent - and noting MSFS 2024 is on the horizon - there's no point wasting money on bleeding edge gear that won't be utilised effectively. So given those parameters - happy to provide any additional information required - what would you recommend to complete this PC build? Many thanks in advance!

Hello everyone ... long time lurker I retired recently and have decided to try and launch into this wonderful world! Enthusiasm high, technical know-how .... zero! Years ago we converted half our garage into a home office. One end is a workstation my wife uses sometimes when WFH. On the other end, I am hoping to turn into my flight sim area. At this point, I want to keep it fairly generic so I can fly multiple aircraft types without specialising on equipment. So I am thinking 3x HDTV as the cockpit window, and other 15.6" touchscreens for instrument panels using air manager. Perhaps one overhead for the overhead display. The problem is I think my space is limited. I only have 2.58m wide, and probably 2.1m depth. I was thinking 3x55" TV, but using Samsung measurements one is 1227mm wide. 50" is 1118m. Obviously, the side two would be on an angle, but not sure what angle is optimum. Anyway, I was hoping to seek advice on how a total newbie gets started and plans out a cockpit. Having just left work with a little bit of a payout I have some funds set aside, so I can afford good quality TV displays, and a good new PC to run it. I was previously using P3Dv4, I stopped flying about 18 months ago because we had only one family PC and the constant setup-take down was annoying. I'd prefer to stay with P3D but no idea how much of it (scenery, aircraft) can be updated to the current v5. Would welcome thoughts and advice as I take my first steps into this new world! Thanks all for the assistance. I have finally managed to restore the Shift+num menus. Carenado never got back to me but engine start and menu issues resolved. I have just installed "Bert's mod" v60 and it is working brilliantly - thanks very much. My one remaining issue is I am having all sorts of problems with takeoff before engaging AP, just wants to go vertical on me and holding elevator trim down appears to do nothing.

I'm having this issue too ... having just installed Bert's mod, trying to get to a nice stable climb before letting AP take over for IAS climb. Feels like trim doesn't work at all!

Apologies if this is a thread hijack or inappropriate ... but how do both compare to SimTookKitPro? I am just getting back into the hobby and am looking for the best solution for large GA/regional aircraft.

Bumping an old topic, but did GTN750 integration ever materialise for this aircraft?

Thanks Marcel. I think the ignition on/auto was the issue. I also had some FSUIPC throttle conflicts which I resolved. I still can't access any Carenado menus or the like by using Shift +7 or any other number. Is there any way to restore these commands? I submitted a ticket to Carenado support 48 hours ago but no response yet (other than the email acknowledging the ticket).

Hi all ... next problem 😞 So I followed the shutdown procedure and saved it in the shutdown state. I am now attempting to start from cold and dark first time. I am following the checklist but cannot start the aircraft. I have "Prop Low P" warning on the CAWS. When I hit the starter, the NG slowly spools to 12 then stabilises ... never reaches the 13-20 required to move condition lever to ground idle. Baffled again ... sigh.

ok I followed the procedures checklist to shut down the aircraft and then saved it as a scenario when shut down, I guess that will have to suffice. Nothing with Shift 8, 9 or any number. I did not manually change the aircaft.cfg file. Only thing I can think of was that when trying to learn the PMDG737-800 I followed the Angle of Attack training package and wiped virtually all P3D key commands to avoid conflicts with FSUIPC.

I tried the all-white livery instead and it was installed there ... very strange. Still not able to set cold and dark though.

F1GTN750PC12.exe ? I've run this three times and no change. I've also tried Shift 1 through 9 and nothing pops up. Baffled!

Hi everyone. I have returned to flight sim after an absence and have decided to branch out from my usual aircraft (RealAir Turbine Duke). I am currently still using Prepar3d v4. I've purchased the Carenado PC-12 but am struggling with setup. My two main issues - I can't seem to install the GTN750, and I have not been able to find how to set the aircraft to default cold and dark setup. I own the F1 GTN750 - have recently migrated it to F1Complete. I've run both the exe file and used the F1complete installer. Every time I start the aircraft though the original panels are still there and the GTN750 is not present. I have done some searching around but yet to find an answer. I am probably missing something obvious but grateful for any assistance. Thanks
