I think the manufacturer is referring to games that are entirely cloud based - like something you would play by connecting to an online server with a web browser. The majority of MSFS resides on your computer. It uses the cloud to stream hi-res scenery and real weather, but other than that, all the files required to run it are local. Either the MS Store or Steam versions of MSFS would work fine with your hardware. If you can, try to see if you can return the DVD version for a refund, because it is completely obsolete. Where you just hook any old device up and you have a powerful gaming system in the cloud? Many games have stored files in the cloud now. Thrustmaster even shows a video of it in MSFS. On the Xbox console that I don't know for sure... I don't have one but you're saying it isn't recognized if you just plug it into the xbox? when I tried the thrustmaster on the Xbox one it works but not on the game that the device is made to work on so that's why I purchased it on pc I purchased the game on Xbox and took it back and I think I'm going to have to return the pc version of I can't get that to read and install and call it a day

As of now (May 2023), it will not work. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is only available in disk or download form for Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC. To play the game on Xbox One, your only option is to play through Xbox Cloud Gaming, which essentially lets you stream the game directly from the internet without downloading it. This is great, because it’s free if you have Game Pass Ultimate membership like me. But as noted on the official Xbox site, there is currently a limitation where cloud gaming does not support flight sticks and other non-standard controllers. What You Should Do Next You basically have three options here: 1. Return the Flight Stick If you truly only wanted this for playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on the Xbox One, then you can log-on to Amazon(or wherever you bought it) and start the return process to get your money back as long as you’re still within the return window and meet any other return criteria. 2. Upgrade to a new system If you’ve been on the fence about upgrading to a Xbox Series X (better) or Series S (cheaper), then this could be the perfect time to do so. Both of those consoles will allow you to download the game to your device, and then your HOTAS One flight stick will be supported. This also comes with the bonus of much improved graphics and faster load times.

The download versions for MSFS (MS Store or Steam) should work just fine on a PC with your joystick. As mentioned above, the CD version is 4 years old and obsolete. Bert
