February 1, 20242 yr I have a fairly vanilla other-traffic setup. I don't run any of the airline traffic models or anything. I usually run in Live traffic/wx mode. Even though some simmers do ridiculous things, it's still kinda fun to see other people flying near me. Today I was flying around TNCN and saw a couple of things I've seen before, and it reminded me I've been confused about it for awhile. There was an A320 doing a high-alpha maneuver right above the runway, then climbing at... Improbable speeds. Then there was a Mooney flying around exactly like a helicopter. Hovering, sliding, going backwards, etc. So are people monkeying with the visual models their aircraft displays just to be goofs, or is MSFS assigning the wrong visual model to other players' aircraft? Are people looking at me in my TBM thinking I'm a dope for trying to land a 747 on St. Barts? 😉 Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light

Do you have Multiplayer tags enabled? If so, the tag should tell you what aircraft is being flown. MSFS multiplayer does not always display the correct airplane model, however.. so you may see a Bonanza instead of a helicopter.. Lastly, some users fly their A320s as if they were XCubs.. so anything is possible.. Bert
February 1, 20242 yr A free-for-all multiplayer session is not worth it, for the reasons stated. Best get yourself some buddies to fly with in a closed group. More immersive. But there is still the problem of MSFS not matching your friend's model correctly which has the same immersion breaking effect. February 1, 20242 yr Could also be another couple of possibilities if an aircraft makes sudden unlikely manoeuvres: 1) a momentary bandwidth drop or 2) someone slewing their aircraft. February 1, 20242 yr Yeah. The models don't match. Sometimes not remotely. I had friend who loves flying his Junkers but in the sim, even in a group it looks like he's flying a default neo. When we fly kodiaks, hjets, etc together then it matches perfectly. 7800+4090+64ram Just Flight RJ, 146 and F28, Piper Arrows ---A2A Aerostar and Comanche---Black Square Starship, Duke(s), TBM, Bonanza/BaronV2, KingAir---FSReborn FSR500---COWS Da42---FX P180, HJet & VJet---FlySimWare Chancellor and LearJet---FlightSimStudio EMB175 &P2006T---Fenix 320---PMDG DC6, 737(700+900), 777---C22J---Milviz Cessna 310 & Porter---SimWorksStudios Kodiak, PC12, Zenith & RV14---BigRadials Goose---IndiaFoxEcho MB3339+F35.
