February 1, 20242 yr Have been trying to compare the two buts it’s long winded having to keep switching the runtime selected back and forth. It appears to me that the Link cable may be a tad smoother. However it’s difficult to actually confirm, but to me the overall image outside the aircraft just seems to be better in steam link? anyone care to share their experiences? run on a quest 2 with a 3080rtx 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
February 1, 20242 yr I haven't tried Steam Link yet and have no intention to given the performance improvement when SteamVR is not in the mix. Will be interested in others thoughts though. FWIW, I find Virtual Desktop a smoother experience that Oculus Link (USB) but the latter offers a slightly sharper image with higher bitrates. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.
February 2, 20242 yr after trying everything again (and again) oculus link is still the best I can get it out of all the connectivity options, for constant fps and fine details etc
February 7, 20242 yr I've seen quite a few posts on various websites that suggest Virtual Desktop is the best option. I have not yet tried comparing this with cable.
