Penguin scenery

Featured Replies

Hi all,

this is the Antarctica scenery at British Rothera, it's not new so I'am one of the latest again...🙂

There are some funny penguins, nice to see, and a beautiful landscape all around.

Have the Dash 7 in the colors of "British Antarctic Survey" because the paint is part of the package.

Also have my old Bell 47J heli which works better in the cold air than the 407. So I'm quite happy!

The Dash 7 supplies everything from Punta Arenas/Chile and a few Twin Otters are transferred from Calgary down to Punta Arenas every year.

Flying over to Rothera is a so called PNR flight (point of no return) where they only can go on when reached . In the worst case land somewhere on the ice.

Some of the best Antarctica scenery in our SIM....beautiful series of pictures here, Andreas.

If recall correctly...Will had befriended some of these penguins...a while ago...🙂....

I used to explore the Aerosoft Antarctica X, but your (MSFS) set here is quite remarkable...along with the firecracker red aircraft...🙂...

Thank's a lot, glad you like the shots. It was great to see that the "British Anarctic Survey" paint was part of the package for the Dash 7.

Superb shots, Andreas. Although this scenery has been around for some time (I went here once in MSFS with the tall ship "Passat", which I ported over from FSX), it's always nice to revisit it. Especially when you do it in such a fine plane as the Dash 7!

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

these are literally cool shots!

All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2

Thank's a lot Bernd, I think I remember your great post, you did some Penguins shots as well if I am right. It's always great to see these funny creatures. 🙂

The Dash 7 by Pilots is clearly a recommendable addon for a reasonable price.

Thank you and you are right. Had some difficulties there with the Bell 407 but not with the old Bell 47. Must try it again later.
