Pilot2ATC

LOVE LOVE the program. Despite the naysayers (most of whom hardly use it or even tried it, no offense).

It's sort of "clunky" but it works. I would really get some YT videos first to get the jist of things but be sure and read the manual. RTFM.

It's fully featured just lacking the current obsession of controlling AI. Yes, I said obsession as it wasn't really a big deal until recently. The ATC program is your ATC program. It is aware of other flights around, traffic alerts, holding short, taxiway issues.  The first commenter is right about all that but I disagree with the voices. I bought some from Ivona and Ceres and they do make a difference overall. I've heard some of those AI voices and they sound just as creepy to me.

I use it for GA as well and often. Not just flight following but even for doing touch n goes.

Doing touch and goes is probably the most fun I have when I have limited time.

I currently use Pilot2ATC, but I use LiveATC.net for chatter (free).

Is there some benefit to using the pay chatter files you all are mentioning here?

Yeah, whereever you're at it will place in chatter files depending on what frequency etc.

Ie: You on the Clearance freq in the US? It will provide semi-realistic chatter files in that area.   What about ground, tower, approach etc? Yes. All with their accents mostly.

Does it work OK with FSLTL?

Yes, and FSLTL is little more "polished" as far as AI traffic programs go. I use AIFLOW and AIGROUND to help fix the AI issues that the sim has. They don't add any CPU anything and hardly touch the sim. Just make the traffic less stupid overall. I use AIG when I'm out of my timezone but often have to tone down the percentage because it injects traffic literally everwhere

Is is all good for European flying (I note German restrictions)?

No that was for LiveATC, not P2ATC. And yes, you can fly anywhere, phraseology will be US always.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
