is FSRealistic dead?

I never updated to the latest version (think I'm a couple version behind, v2.1.1) and have no issue.😐  Sometimes updating isn't always the better option (wait for others to take the plunge first hence the F35)...

If you have one of the older installers try a previous version and see if that helps.

After reading this thread and having never updated, I will never update. Sounds like a real hassle.

I have FSRealistic auto-starting with the sim.

I *think* I did it via FSRealistic's options, although it is possible I set it up thru manually adding it to the exe.xml, I am not above such skullduggery.

Do you use Win10? the problem began for me when I switch to Win11, but it's a minor problem really, I have the same problem with my Logitech Multi Panel so i'm got used to start those programs before the Sim, It seems the auto start problems are related to Win11.

Nah. It's still updated and works just fine for me. Though I have to agree the camera settings need to be adjusted. Especially if you have a head tracker. Though, the camera settings can help you here.

Love this app!

Yeah, looks like the developer has pretty much given up on significantly improving this. The walkaround mode is still a mess. I use with for the touchdown sounds.

I am supper annoyed by it. MSFS camera system is a joke. They are not allowing Chaseplane to have access which is complete B.S. And having FsRealistic is a big improvement for sounds and effects but it seems to be dead as well.

I have been using it since it came out, but never used the camera settings. Didn't even though they existed. 😏

So that’s why my camera viewpoint changes once I start it. Now have to figure out how to disable. I use it mostly for the landing effects. Always fun to be berated by the FO..

Just started using it again as I’d forgotten I had it. Most flights I still forget to start it

Decided to try it for my next flight. After an, admittedly, tremendously hard landing, the camera view suddenly zoomed out big time. Which was tricky on the go-around as I'm used to being much closer to the displays.

I've pretty much stripped it down to the landing stuff, but can't seem to disable the camera stuff. Anyone?
