What is the best monitor for msfs 1  27in 4K at 144htz or  2    32 in. 4K at 60 htz

Would you see 144 fps without frame generation? 

LG OLED..C2 43"..Dont know if its the best, but works great for me...going on two years now..

Looking to spend no more than 700 Canadian.  So what i want an opinion on whats the best between refresh rate vs screen size on 4k monitors 28in @ 144 hz or 32 in @ 60 hz

@WestJet737, consider the BenQ PD3200U. I’ve had mine for nearly 6 years and it’s a superb monitor built to a very high level. 32” with highly accurate colours. It’s designed for professional artists but is ideal for flight sims.

You don’t need a monitor with very high refresh rates since 144fps in any sim is unlikely to be achieved. What this monitor has is a 30Hz rate which is ideal in complex areas with lots of Ai. With my system at London Heathrow I can just get 30 with 150+ Ai in P3Dv5. I don’t have MSFS.

I would also suggest an OLED TV, but it seems that your budget would not suffice. 

144Hz is indeed not needed, but limiting the frames with 30fps is also not necessary in MSFS. With a 4080 and FG you will probably not go below 60 fps, even in the most challenging scenarios. 

Perhaps you can aim for a 120Hz display and focus on getting more screen real state. For me 48” is just ideal.  

Thanks for the replies, most 4k monitors in this price range are 60 hz except for a MSI which has mixed reviews.  It seems that the larger the screen the better

Size brings more immersion but reduced sharpness. The same number of pixels spread over a larger area.

I suspect that's why virtually all 4K 16:9 monitors are 32". The BenQ does support 60Hz but if your system can't deliver at complex airports 30Hz is extremely useful.

Monitors are long-term investments. A good one will last 7-10 years.

I have the same CPU and GPU and I don’t think I’ve seen 144 fps with FG, even in the lowest demand scenarios (light aircraft in the middle of nowhere).

For me if I’m in an airliner at one of the hardest cities/airports for performance (JFK, LAX, LHR) I will dip down to 40ish but yes for the most part keeping it near 60 is achievable.

Two years ago, I went with a nice quality LG 60 Hz 4K monitor, and I have never regretted it.  Like Ray, I previously would lock this display at 30 fps (half refresh rate setting) with good results. But I since have upgraded my GPU to RTX 4080 Super, and running this with a Ryzen 5800 X3D, my system is running MSFS butter smooth with complex aircraft and scenery locked at 80 fps (FG on) or 40 native. Not too shabby!
