I operate the 737 (PMDG) in V6 and all works well. Only thing I don't like is that you have to turn on cockpit mipmapping.
June 5, 20242 yr I just got a reply back from my favorite scenery developer Flightbeam, and sadly they say they will not be supporting v6. The reason given was difficulty developing with the P3D SDK. I found that odd since they already support v5. It’s also the first I’ve heard that developing for the P3D SDK is difficult, but I don’t know anything about that. I own all their products, including on MSFS. Really a shame from my perspective. Pro-Sim A320 and MSFS 2024
June 5, 20242 yr I heard that it's not that P3D SDK is more difficult, it's that the tool require more works as they are not as easy to use. So you probably need more work hours to achieve the same result. But not surprised with the Flightbeam decision. Mir is overbooked and can't even keep up with msfs. It took him age to finnish KSFO, KMSP was a little bit rushed and he will probably have his hands full for a few months with KPHX if he chose to develop it. Add to this, that he still need to work on some updates for KDEn and probably will want to update his KMSP. So, it doesn't make sense anymore for him (or others) to work on P3D 6.0 updates or to release updates for his old sceneries anyway, no matter the version. The market for P3D is very slim and not everybody even use the same version. Most people will require updates for free, but people would request updates for 4.x, 5.x and 6.x. Even if some would pay for those updates, it is understandable that one hour spent on P3D won't give him the same ROI as an hour spent on msfs. That's sad of course for the remaining P3D users but it is the sad reality.
