May 5, 20242 yr Dating back to the initial release of MSFS, Juneau Intl has been afflicted with a persistent unaddressed bug that put the airport in an eternal state of winter year-round...in the middle of summer with an OAT of 25 deg, there was still snow covering the whole airport. Well, whaddya know, setting the wx with ASFS in preset mode fixes this. Just loaded up PAJN (the NSS add-on) with historical wx from last summer (15 Jul 23), and the airport is now depicted in all its green summer glory. Hat tip, Damian and Team HiFi! May 6, 20242 yr But isn´t Juneau so high up in the north that only in August they have one month slighly above freezing point they call summer - and the rest is winter?

Yes, that also applies to other famous places like Milford Sound or Innsbruck. Time to visit these places again. 🙂 Edited May 6, 20242 yr by RALF9636
May 6, 20242 yr Well, to be honest, REX is capable of doing this since more than a year. It is a live weather MSFS bug, so basically every weather tool will prevent eternal snow in MSFS in all affected places... No, not at all--it's only at 58 deg N and on the coast, where offshore flow keeps the temps fairly moderate. Yesterday, for example, it was 46 deg F (8 C). In mid-summer high temps range around 60-70 deg F (15-20 deg C). Even in the dead of winter, the temps there average right around the freezing mark. So the MSFS eternal hard winter there was really quite aberrant.
