July 5, 20241 yr @Andy675 Are you creating flight plan via World Map or Simbrief? I don't fly on Vatsim so I use the World Map to flight plan. I ask because something else i recall when this issue started happening is that when i create the plan via the map and start the aircraft the FMC doesn't show departing on arriving runways and the flight plan is a mess. I have to enter runways manually and then choose the correct SID and STAR and then clean up any discontinuities. I wonder if this is somehow related to the managed descent issue. I'm hoping to have time in about 8 hours to take a quick flight and get some screenshots. I too seem to think this problem started after the update, around June 24. Not sure if that was the update that included the 'missed approach' display

July 5, 20241 yr Author I may have found the issue. After reaching the top of the climb the performance page does not change to 'cruise', which I guess it should do. The barometer is set to standard, the Prog page shows the cruise altitude and on the PFD the altitude is stating the set altitude and 'thrust climb' has changed to 'speed'. With no real knowledge I am guessing that when the set altitude is reached the 'climb' page should disappear. Is there anything I can do to correct this? If it is a bug it would be affecting more flyers. Edited July 5, 20241 yr by Andy675
July 5, 20241 yr Do you still show a miles-to-go for climb on the PERF page, or does it switch to miles to ToD? Can you post a screen shot?

July 5, 20241 yr Ok. Here are a few screenshots. One at cruise, one of the CDU, and one after I hit managed descent. I also put a link to the a video where I hit the managed button. https://youtu.be/xEDMAjCJuKs
July 6, 20241 yr I use the world map to enter a flight, choosing runways and sid/star. FMC shows plan but no runways. I go to edit the flight plan to add departing runway with sid and arrival runway with star. I then go thru the plan to get rid of discontinuities and notice that it now showing many flight levels. It shows 640 for the takeoff runway and then closer to arrival runway it shows 8000, then a bit later 6000, and then 3000 until the arrival runway where it shows 620. It's no wonder managed descent doesn't work as the flight level details are missing in the FMC. Here are some pictures: So now i add departing and arriving details, etc. and go thru the plan:
July 6, 20241 yr Author Thank you BrammyH, you have confirmed my theory. My plane is stuck in 'climb'. Other clues are when reaching altitude I do not receive the captains message about being at cruising hight and the ILS Runway does not appear on the ND display. Thank you all for your help. I feel there is little I can do, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled in hope. I will try once more. Otherwise I will revert back to the stable version for now, though at some point the development version will become the stable version.
July 6, 20241 yr Maybe one of the FBW devs here have an idea ( @holland786 maybe?). I can't imagine why this works in stable but not in Dev.

Especially because it only faults out on his installation. I have used nothing but the Develelopment Build for years and never had that problem.
July 6, 20241 yr Author In case the question should arise, I have performed two clean installs with an empty community folder. I have seen one similar report on the MSFS Discord site and a report here.

July 6, 20241 yr I come from X Plane and the Zibo mod. I definitely need to work out how to do pretty much everything with the FBW A320. I did buy myself a left handed joystick last month-ish. <<<---- that'll be important!
