I am not being confrontational, I am trying to bring sense to this crazy thread. But honestly if people are not going to but my products because I put my logo brand on my EFB, then, well quite frankly I don't know what to say.

This entire topic feels now like a trolls from everyone.

As for who is trolling and being confrontational.

This thread is about an unusual logo placement for one product. It has nothing to do with putting the logo on an EFB or somewhere else and you know that very well. Yet you feel the need to imply that the community, or part of it, wants complete control over branding.

There is a clear line to be drawn between customer needs and people that want to IMPOSE and RULE how we should run our business, asking a refund because a logo is beyond crossing that line to be frank, we know the user asking for the refund will continue to use the product regardless (since will not delete it), effectively has now steal from the company just because a logo *roll eyes*.

What a ridiculous interpretation. It is absolutely nothing like asking Pepsi to sell you a Pepsi without the logo. The equivalent would be after buying and then pouring your pepsi into a glass, every

Okay, that’s enough on this discussion I think. Anyone considering buying this addon has enough evidence here to decide if the logo is off putting or not.

@sloppysmusic asked if he could reply to those accusing him of theft. His post follows.

Thanks to everyone for the discussion! I woke today to find this thread has now been closed. Which is fine by me as the large number of replies was starting to bury the actual relevant info contained within. However I saw with considerable dismay that a developer registered here had accused me and others directly or indirectly of stealing software. As I had no chance to deny this before the thread was closed I wrote to 'the mods' and have been given a chance for a 'rebuttal' before this thread is once and for all sealed up/closed down.

I am not going to quote that developer by name but I consider the accusation for software theft, either by deception or piracy a stain on the industry and do not wish my name to be associated with it especially here on Avsim. In this particular case I created a thread here because I DESPISE logos on my screen and wanted to warn others who may feel the same. The suggestion that someone like myself who wants no hint of a logo up there on screen (with a passion!) would, after receiving a refund, then continue to use the software anyway is ridiculous and defamatory. Software PIRATES are the real bad apples, not legitimate purchasers with individual preferences who post openly on popular forums with easy to find real world credentials.

In 25 years of simming I have only asked for TWO refunds. The first a Citation X in FSX that was granted graciously by the dev as it did not perform as advertised on my system, and the other this addon because of a logo that I could not get rid of. The Flow Pro software has been uninstalled via OrbX Central (within seconds of quitting MSFS after cancelling my planned flight). I have not yet emailed OrbX for a refund, will get round to it soon. I am not expecting any issues there after spending over $10k with them over the years.

In the heat of discussion, I don't mind being called a WNA, but being accused of criminal or immoral behaviour crosses the line especially from a developer. (Although I do GET this IS an Internet forum!)

Thanks to the staff here for this opportunity. Have a great sim day everyone!

Footnote: I have donated the entire value of this pending software refund ($30) from OrbX to Avsim as a thank you for hosting this and many other interesting discussions over the years.

This is now effectively the end of the thread, no further discussion on this matter will be possible.
