August 9, 20241 yr Hey y'all, I just built a PC for the first time! Check it out here. Its a new PC, so I want to make sure I have everything installed correctly and that all my addons place nice with each other. My settings are mostly maxed out, so I'm wondering why I am seeing square patches of land that are either taking a while to render or rendering as water! Here are some screenshots I took on my approach to Nashville. I also added a shot of ImagineSim's KLGA when water quality is set to ultra, if anyone can help explain why LaGuardia turns into a seaport, please help! It is nice to have boats on the taxiway :3 https://imgur.com/a/pY28E48 Thanks all! Edited August 9, 20241 yr by Amrick615
August 9, 20241 yr If you have ORBX scenery installed, looks like a classic case of the ORBX scenery not being sync'ed. You will have to do a scenery sync. In ORBX central, can be accessed, in Settings, Help, Sync Simulator. John C. Specs: black box thingy with spinning fans, lights and a bunch of wires that go to screens with pretty colours and a keyboard with many keys. The black box thingy also has a push button activated coffee cup holder. John C.

August 10, 20241 yr Well, the payware addon airport might be the culprit. Do you have any other scenery addons? If so, then one or more addons themselves or their positioning in the scenery library could be causing the problem. Have you uninstalled KLGA to see if the problem still exists? August 11, 20241 yr The provided pic does look exactly like the Orbx out of sync issue to myself, I've had it a few times myself, mostly when I've added addtional scenery or reinstalled various scenery. I'd check and confirm Orbx insertion points, then sync sim in the Orbx control panel. Plus Orbx do have a tip for resolution. https://forum.orbxdirect.com/topic/189035-fix-for-blocks-andor-night-textures-in-orbx-global-base-or-open-lc-scenery/ Cheers Edited August 11, 20241 yr by Rogen Ryzen 5800X clocked to 4.7 Ghz (SMT off), 32 GB ram, Samsung 1 x 1 TB NVMe 970, 2 x 1 TB SSD 850 Pro raided, Asus Tuf 3080Ti P3D 4.5.14, Orbx Global, Vector and more, lotsa planes too. The manual I have for ImagineSim WSSS Singapore specifically calls out Water Detail = Ultra as a cause of water conflicts, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same design/development choices are in play with your KLGA scenery. They don't offer a reason - just the culprit - but I'd nonetheless recommend reducing Water Detail to High when flying in/out of ImagineSim sceneries. Unfortunately, I really like water settings at ultra lol
August 11, 20241 yr I had similar issue with night textures during day. I suggest, at ORBX Vector management you put that you have FTX Australia installed, if you have it, ofc. That might solve your issue with night textures you have in one of your images.
August 12, 20241 yr Author You all fixed my issues! (Well... scenery issues, at least) I ran through the order of ops in the link Rogen provided and set water to High rather than Ultra as Drobinho mentioned. I'll report back in case anything else scenery-related happens that is out of the ordinary. Thank you, all!
