Just implemented and undergoing some tests to check it doesn't break anything. Patch should be available by tomorrow evening. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

Hey, so I wanted to try the new feature you implemented but it seems that the FO just reads out the line and continues onto the below the line items instead of holding the checklist. Just to confirm: would this line be okay? " [ ] before start checklist to the line -- complete //2 " I have changed my "below the line" script to include resume checklist when I say below the line. The problem obviously is that the FO just reads out before start checklist to the line complete and carries on to the rest of them without holding the checklist. Am I doing something wrong? However it doesn’t seem to work. It's working on a typical English Windows setup. I wonder whether it's one of those scenarios where string comparison yields different results because of system locale. If your Windows edition isn't originally in English and you forced it to that language via regional settings, try resetting to original region. I know it's not possible to perform speech training unless you switch to "United States" as your region, but that's only for speech training. In case you downloaded many patches, double-check "mce.exe" version is V3.1.0.0 Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

However it doesn’t seem to work. Just in case you're puzzled... Your "below the line" command when spoken outside the checklist reading session will appear as if it doesn't work. This is normal because it is tied to "resume checklist" a command that is only active when going through checklist. When FO sees the line with "to the line" he sends MCE a simulated speech command "pause checklist". It will only work if you haven't muted MCE with Numlock or Joystick button (speech engine needs to recognise the "pause checklist" command). Maybe that's what you're doing once he gets to the line. I will try and check it again but the last time I tried it I am sure I didn’t mute MCE in anyway. So just to be sure: the main thing that is trigger to pause the checklist is “to the line”. So if one writes Before start checklist to the line - the “to the line” part will be recognised by MCE which then sends a voice command to pause the checklist? Also just to clarify further so I can eliminate any mistakes I could have made: - As an example can the user write in the checklist without any extra lines left out between the checklist item and the “before start checklist to the line ” and start with the below the line without leaving a gap? Or does one need to leave space, gaps, line or anything just like between different checklist right now? whatever-checklist-item -- response before start checklist to the line -- complete //2 whatever-checklist-item -- response Balint Szarka CPU Intel i9 9900K OC'd to 5Ghz RAM 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz (2 x 16GB) GPU 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 SUPER

The line just needs to have the [ ] prefix so it can be seen as a checklist item. Could even have any_text to the line any_text -- complete //2 If the FO doesn't stop at that line, the only explanation is that somehow the simulated speech command "pause checklist" didn't get to the speech engine. Maybe an easier way to - at least to some extent - implement that feature would be that MCE accepts "... checklist to the line / ... checklist below the line" as a trigger to start the checklist (instead of just "... to the line checklist") and respectively finishes the checklist with "...checklist completed to the line" (instead of "... checklist to the line completed"). So we could set up and then call for a "before takeoff checklist to the line" and a "before takeoff checklist below the line". Still not exactly corresponding to the procedure explained by @Balint Szarka but already a lot better than having to call for "before takeoff to the line checklist" and finishing with "before takeoff to the line checklist completed." From my layman's perspective that might be easier to implement than adding a new functionality to the checklists algorithm. Ralf, did you have a go at the latest patch intended for this? Thanks Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
