Not sure when you downloaded the patch, as you can see in my last reply to Balint, had to re-upload the patch because of a missing file. Make sure you replace the 3 files in \CandC\ folder, then check again. Thanks

I downloaded just an hour before my post.

  • Thanks! One more useful undocumented mce.ini entry... 😉 Not included in the template you posted in the other thread.

  • In next new patch, you can have as many checklist sections that have a below the line and won't need your "below the line" custom sentence to act as a trigger for "before takeoff checklist" or whateve

Please redownload the patch and just change "mce.exe" this time. V3.1.0.1. Thanks

Same behaviour as before. MCE is not stopping at the "... to the line..." line.

Very strange.

Here are a few suggestions...

Go to \My Documents\Multi Crew Experience\Checklists\ folder and delete all the .cml files.

If still no go, ask co-pilot to read a section that doesn't have the "to the line", then when reading starts say "suspend check"  (NOT "suspend checklist") and see if the speech engine gets it. That's the one that is emulated.

If no luck with that command, use "suspend checklist" instead and see if you can get it suspended.

Doesn't make a difference.

Both "suspend check" and "suspend checklist" work fine when I say it.

Thanks. That rules out a few things.

We think it could be one of those "subtle multi-threading bugs". Looking at Balint signature and the PC running at 5 GHZ with many many cores, there was a clue there.

The thread that handles checklist reading had a small delay to allow the speech engine to recognize the simulated command. Turns out it was holding a lock, preventing MCE receiving speech notification on another thread. It worked on a 3.5 GHZ 4 core machine, but not yours or Balint's.

The delay which was first 1 second, then lowered to 1 millisec has now been removed.

If the theory is correct, the newly uploaded patch today should get it sorted. Please re-download. It's now V3.1.0.2 and only need to replace "mce.exe"

No luck with 3.1.0.2 unfortunately, still the same.

I can confirm though that I am also running 6 cores at 5 GHz.

Thanks for feedback.

There is a revised file in \CandC\ folder in today's uploaded patch. Just replace that file. Same MCE version.

Would appreciate someone else on English language Windows Edition (running Ultimate Edition of MCE) confirm that it is working. Thanks.

No luck with 3.1.0.3. Same as before.

Would also appreciate if you can confirm this is happening with Fenix. Thanks

Confirmed. I see the same behaviour as described and shown in the video (I always set the altimeter myself so I never bothered.).

I assume you replaced the 3 files in CandC folder.

Could you try temporarily changing your regional settings to "United states", restart PC and see if the simulated pause gets to the speech engine?

Are you seeing a red text stating "command doesn't exist" right after the FO states "complete to the line"?

If that's the case, then it would explain why the speech engine doesn't get it under your original settings.

Really baffling as all iterations I sent so far work on a typical English Windows setup..

If it's no-go we'll have to change the implementation by doing it some other way.

No. I just see my responses to the checklist items.
