have you tried disabling ASW in the Oculus Debug Tool?

then leave and re-enter VR mode in the sim

Yes I have, it's probably just the fact that my NY is a system killer.  add ons for EWR, JFK, LGA and FRG.  samscene NY, rkbridger for all the river crossings. GSX pro, BATC, with a PMDG 737 then throwing VR on top of that.......

In other news I had a very pleasant flight from KPHX to KSAN in my 737 with full traffic in BATC and everything went just fine in VR.

Hello guys,

I have to report complete success and issue solved.  I purchased a new high speed cable with type c both ends. I am now plugged into my 20gb type C port in the computer and it is running faultlessly.

A funny thing though and I am wondering if anyone else has this "thing"

I am now getting a message recommending that I connect to USB3 port (10 GB) Although I have no problems plugged into the type C port, I am wondering if this recommendation is just a standard message when you do not plug into that port. Previously that is where I was plugged in to and where my problems came from I believe. In essence though, which port is the best method of connection?

In the meantime, I have decided to stay with my Quest 2, for the time being, and have also abandoned the pursuit of the air link connection.

Again guys, I am compelled to thank you all for your help and suggestions.

Regards

Tony

not sure if you eventually got it sorted? I have a bunch of Q2 / Q3 / Q Pros where I work and often have similar troubles with the Q3's. You probably noticed the headset has a lower FPS when connecting at only USB 2

Things that I've found has helped with the Q3;

try turning the USB-C plug over, and/or swapping ends. I have a few cables where this makes a difference

try disconnecting the cable from the PC (while leaving it connected to the headset), restart the headset, then reconnect cable to PC. The end left connected when restarting seems to have an effect.

I've found that once the headset has connected as USB 2, it will no longer connect as USB 3 until it's restarted.

These hubs will connect at 3gb as USB 3 and will keep the headset charged at about 80% while playing. Link cable needs to go into the high current port. They were around $30AUD each from Aliexpress

I'm mostly using these cables to connect to the USB hub. They're cheap and worked well for 2 years so far. $18AUD each from Amazon and Aliexpress
