I agree wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, the truth is that at the time I'm writing this, this thread has 1.3k views, but the bug report thread linked in the OP has just 26 votes. Not to mention the involvement in the investigation...

I and others have provided them with many many examples of this bug, with a 100% repro rate - anyone wanting to reproduce it on the MSFS team should be able to do so with ease.

I’ve raised it via Zendesk also were I was told it had been passed to a QA team who were investigating - this was at the beginning of the week and the ticket has been marked as solved, even though it clearly is not solved.

Unless a lot more people bug report it, I’m afraid it looks like this will just go on and on with no fix.

Have no worries. On the next dev stream Jorg will wear the confused mask and show shock and disbelief on this issue and state that until this very moment they were not aware of it. This is the same playbook for the last 4 years.

Yep, standard answer by them, then continue to do nothing about it. Repeat and necessary.

Realistic weather will not bring additional profit. Why waste time and effort on it?

Now 1.6k views and 29 votes. My take is that the vast majority of users (myself included) simply don't see the issues reported by the OP and others. I fly every day and can't recall having seen this.

It might be related to data from the UK and Ireland, as I can reproduce it with airports there every time, but not in continental Europe. What happens is that initially the weather depiction might be reasonable, but over time (1 hour) all clouds dissolve, despite the conditions and METAR reports not warranting it. So at the "right" time you can spawn at an (UK, Ireland?) airport with OVC in the Metar and have clear skies.

Yeah done a lot of testing and seems to primarily, possibly only, impact the UK and Ireland airports.
