How long before we see this in the Olympics?

Interesting that they use a short-stick competition model for contests. Probably for the following reasons:

1. The traditional long-stick hobby horse has a higher coefficient of drag and is unsuitable for competition.

2. The first few competitions that used long-stick models caused a high proportion of groin injuries during jumps.
