Okay, so I would consider buying it... Would anybody say me what is that WIDE FS 7 software made by that same developer?

You only need that if you're going to run flight sim software (moving map) on a separate computer.

Post your computer specs. CPU, GPU, RAM, year bought. People can then best advise you which sim to go for.

@USMC Aviator, please don’t post the same message in more than one section. I’ve hidden the one in the FS2004 section.

It's available here but bear in mind the version for FSX and earlier versions of P3D is not compatible with MSFS or later versions of P3D. Decide which sim you're going to use and buy the relevant ver

Following are my System specs :-

Intel core i5 (12th Gen)

4GB RTX 2050 GPU

256GB SSD (But now only 97GB is free!)

1TB Extra HDD Storage

16GB DDR4 RAM

But the major problem is that I don't have a good internet service here. Actually I have a good WIFI connection in my home but as I am a junior doctor, I mostly have to stay in hostel of our hospital where there is no WIFI.

You’ve done nothing wrong. 😉 We all had to learn. But you’re putting the cart before the horse. The first decision you have to make is which simulator to buy. Given you have a poor internet connection that rules out MSFS which relies on downloading scenery as you fly.

So I would suggest you look at the Academic version of Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v5

That is a more advanced version of FSX which can take advantage of modern CPUs and being a 64-bit sim won’t run out of memory unlike 32-bit FSX.

YOU’ll still need to download the software but that’s unavoidable irrespective of which sim you buy because it’s not sold on physical media any longer.

I am recommend v5 rather than v6 (the latest) because a huge amount of aircraft and airports are available for that version. Many developers abandoned P3D when MSFS came out 4 years ago so there’s little for v6.

Once you’ve decided on the sim then you can look at FSUIPC and other software. Your controller will be fine.

Thanks for that reply! I will be looking into P3D v5 Moreover I found my old FS9 DVDs and thinking to run it in my old PC as I have a lot of Payware and Freeware addons of FS9 already stored! P3D v5 really looks decent. Can anyone just confirm me that can I run X Plane 11 with the System Specs I said above. Moreover is X Plane 11 an offline simulator? (Sorry, if I am violating any rule by asking about X Plane here)

Thank you!

Also, can anybody say if P3D is totally offline or not?

v5 is. v6 requires online access for reasons unknown.

Unless you pay 6x as much for the pro version!

Was a tough decision for me so I also went with v5 (the pro version as I cannot abide logos)

The options are confusing. There is NO logo on the v6 personal (60 bucks I think) but you need be online all the time.

No internet needed for v5 academic but you have the logo instead.

to the OP

here is best way to understand fsuipc/ws etc :D

It’s so small as to not be a distraction. Top right in white lettering. Each to their own but there’s no way I’m paying for a pro license to remove it.

I do get that, but as mentioned before I've worked in video production for 20 years now and the first requirement of any imported media to the NLE is zero logos or the footage is not usable (removing/cropping them is not legal either). Also, the other thing we can't talk about, is that I purchased the version that was applicable for the purpose for which I'm using it. So people should do the same for their uses, which differ obviously.

Sorry! Non Linear Editor /Editing.

I use Vegas Pro but you'd have heard of Final Cut or Adobe Premier maybe?

If you've ever edited video on a pc on a time line you've used NLE.

BTW (another acronym!) I just got LS and am using it p3d first flight rn (bad habit sorry).

I'll be in THAT thread with questions etc in next few days.

Nope. That’s something I’ve never done.

Just can someone confirm me if P3D v5 has the same detailed flight simulator tutorials as in FSX?
