Default FSX Deluxe Jets Flying Charisterics

Featured Replies

I can fly the Bombadier CRJ's and Boeing 737's with no real problems, but the Airbus's are almost unflyable. Is this me or are the Airbus flight models to blame?

While the Airbus flight model is only about as realistic as the other aircraft flight models in FS - i.e. designed for the beginner flight simmer - it's a perfectly good, workable flight model. There are many pecularities which are Airbus specific with Microsoft's version of FlyByWire. There are many threads on flying the FSX Airbus on the forum - but basically - it is your flying habits, not the model.

Just cause my passengers tremble in fear when ever I take the controls is no reason to harp on my flying ability!! :-)I'll take another whack at it this week... It's just that it sure seemed to be aircraft related to me..I mean the CRJ and Boing were controllable as expected while the Airbus would have moments of complete hysteria.....

Search for a thread "FSX default A321 problem" which has a lot of information / tips on flying the Airbus.

The default Airbus can be flown quite nicely. You just have to understand it is going to behave differently than the 737. That takes flying time to fully grasp. As was said I would suggest searching for the old threads on the default A321 because everything is discussed in them, including the trick that you should not do, and that is fly with part of the FBW computer disabled.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

Yeah I have same problem...Like the trim, I don't think there is trim, with the FBW system...or the computer trims it out automatically. The airbus pilots that operate from our airport always take the longest to get going...it's all that button pushing lol!

The autopilot doesn't work for me. It seems to stop working every so often. Weird! But hey that's FSX (sp1).
