Just Flight 146 Professional v QW version

Featured Replies

Hello

I have just received an email from Just Flight regarding some pretty pretty big reductions for their P3D products. The 146 Professional has definitely caught my eye and I am wondering if anyone can tell me how it compares with the Quality Wings version. I have the QW version and it's one of my favourite aircraft. I currently use V4.5.

Kind regards

Daz

It's now $35. The QW one is still $20. I have the JF one for MSFS, but the QW for all other sims. Maybe because I prefer the RJ instead.

Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9! Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

I recommend getting the JF 146 version as it has nicer textures and better system simulation. For the Avro RJ the only option is qualitywings so you dont have to chose one or the other 🙂

Is the JF 146 for p3d basically the same plane that's in msfs? Or a new gen for msfs? I've been looking at that for a while but stopped buying addon planes for msfs as prefer p3d.

The JF146 is updated for P3Dv5 (aka its "new" gen so to speak)! You can even use liveries from the MSFS version (just have to flip the texture) and rename some files.

Thanks! What I rally needed confirmed was if the following from the MSFS store page was new also:

Including that 'free version 2 update'?

New features - the 146 Professional has received many significant updates/upgrades since the original release, with a plethora of changes being made to the aircraft systems and visuals, as well as extra features and quality-of-life additions based on community feedback. This all ensures that the 146 Professional is one of the most complete products available for MSFS! The free 'Version 2' update (4 April 2024) adds even more features, including fully interactable passenger cabins, a UNS-1 Flight Management System and boarding simulation. A video covering these latest additions can be viewed here.

I don't think they have all of that in P3D but they did have the UNS-1 FMS already in the P3D version (so I guess from the get-go it was a bit more advanced) 🙂

Thank you for the input guys, I have decided to purchase the 146 Professional with the points I have in my account so it cost me just £3.31 bit of a no brainer 🙂

I bought it yesterday. Installation and loading in P3D without problems but when I want to leave the flight simulator...cdt. Does anyone here have the same problem? Is there a solution? P3D 4.5 current hotfix.

Glad you decided to go for it already!

I have the old QW version, it was my first payware airliner in P3D and was good enough to convince me to buy other P3D add-ons!

I don't have the JF for P3D D, but I do have it in both MSFS and X-Plane (11).

Extremely well developed and can recommend it.

As another said, not sure if they have updated it at all, and given the sad star of the 3PD add-on market, I doubt they will.

I'm any case, I'm sure you will enjoy the JF as it is!
