October 28, 20241 yr Hi guys, been working on this all weekend. Got a new PC, installed GSX PRO, couatl is running. However when I select the ingame menu toolbar to make it 'white' and the sub menu opens, it only stays on for a few seconds and the toolbar GSX icon goes back to non-white. Why am I not on their forum? because I can not recall my password. Why don't I request a new password? - I did on Friday night and have not received a response (yes I checked junk mail). Anyone here have any ideas? (used to work on my old pc). I ask here because maybe it is a setting in MSFS? October 28, 20241 yr Did you ensure to install it with any system security disabled and also exclude your FSDT Addon manager folder etc? i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
October 28, 20241 yr Author Thank you for taking the time to respond. I know that you are not 'official' support and I appreciate that. I have still not received my requested password change email for their forums so at this point I have no official channels available to me. To your points: No, I did not disable security (defender) during the install. I do not see this in the manual. Yes, I have excluded the Addon Manager folders. Yes, the install made two of the these folders (Addon Manager and FSDT Addon Manager), both of these are verified excluded. what happens: msfs loads, menu bar is displayed, GSX icon is not white I select the icon, I get the spinning icon that goes for about 20 seconds and then closes. I then have to manually 'start' couatl' and I verify that is operating in the taskbar (by the way the shortcut for this generated during the install did not point to the correct location, I was asked by window to allow 'autofix' which I did) I reselect the in game GSX tool icon, it will go white it appears to go through a loading process with several 'loading type bars' I then get a voice saying something about the 'airport is excluded...' this will repeat for about 12 times. I go back and see that the ingame icon is now not-white, I select again, it goes white and the menu opens, it will close upon any selection or after about 10 seconds. I have heard horror stories about this process but in my last computer I had no problems. Now, unfortunately it appear I am 'one of those people' CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
October 28, 20241 yr Sorry I can't be of more help. I just know that Umberto and the FSDT team have always been proponents to disabling your system security for installs of any of their products as well as setting up excludes for the security and firewall. Just by the sounds of your issues, it does seem like parts of GSX want to work but not fully which makes me think that some process is being or has been blocked from running properly. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
October 28, 20241 yr Author thank you again. I will search my old PC for possible log in info for their forums. thanks CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

If you mean "the airport has been disabled by user settings", the problem is with the activation. Assuming GSX Pro looks activated in the FSDT Installer, the most common reason why it's not activated in the sim, is because your Windows account username you run MSFS with, doesn't have admin permissions. The easiest way to fix this is to give your user admin permissions, then start the FSDT Installer again, and Deactivate/Activate GSX again. Alternatively, you might change the properties for the Couatl64_MSFS.EXE file located in \Addon Manager\couatl64 folder, to run "As Admin". I suggest the first solution, too many things go wrong when running a Windows limited account. 12 hours ago, Mike S KPDX said: I go back and see that the ingame icon is now not-white, I select again, it goes white and the menu opens, it will close upon any selection or after about 10 seconds. This shouldn't be a problem, that's who GSX works and always worked in years. The menu always closes after selecting an option, so it won't take valuable screen time and won't steal your numeric keys for any longer than strictly required so, after making a choice, the menu will close automatically. What matter is if something then happens following that normal automatic closing. But of course, you should fix your activation problem first. Thanks I recently upgraded my PC and Although I used the same SSD in new build that I was using in the older PC that had FS 2020 and GSX and all FS Dreamteam products, I had to go and re activate them all on new build using their live update app. Once I reactivated with activation codes that came with my purchases all FS Dreamteam including GSX functions returned. October 29, 20241 yr After a fresh Win 11 reboot, opened MSFS, went to LEBL in 787X to one gate listed as accommodating Heavy aircraft. GSX Pro menu opened after about 20 seconds after hitting the GSX button on the MSFS handlebar. For reasons unknown GSX would not open anything: no stairs, and no pushback etc. Rebooted and started completely over to a new gate. We're now in it about 25 minutes, same issue. GSX menu appears, but doesn't do anything when you click on a menu item. And then two days ago after better behavior after reinstalling GSX Pro, I got this again and it stuck for over TWO MINUTES until I killed Couatl and restarted Couatl: Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
