November 9, 20241 yr I’ve been getting weird behavior using the lossless scaling app. Long story short - Lossless scaling target settings in the top right corner (in-game) change dynamically from 20/60 to 60/180 affecting performance. More details - I have a 4K 60hz screen so I set my target fps to 20 in RTSS, with a x3 multiplier in the app (to achieve 60 fps matched with my screen refresh rate). In-game I have v-sync enabled coupled with 100% refresh rate setting. This has only started recently, what could cause this if my fps target is locked to 20 in RTSS? This change obviously degrades my performance especially the fluidity while panning around (using TrackIR). Thanks! November 9, 20241 yr What I observed with lossless: as soon as the VRAM gets full, it somehow goes completely nuts resulting in a stutterfest. And in my case, 4K with almost maxed out settings, it takes around 1-2GB additional VRAM right when activated. If I am already in the range of 15GB usage, I am unable to use LS on top... Do the targets change like I've described? When the target goes up to 180 obviously my system cannot handle it (I'm limited to 60 fps like my screen refresh rate). November 9, 20241 yr Author Another general observation with the tool is that it provides more fluidity / higher fps especially when panning however it introduces more stutters to a point I may prefer to simply increase the FPS limit to 30 without using the app. Also it seems my system is less stressed when going with the latter option. November 9, 20241 yr For me,it worked great,at first, but now its a diferent story. The fluidity its there most of the time, but micro países that didn't have before...and not sure why because it worked

It does, but opposite of what you see: it drops from 48/144 down to 20/60 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
November 9, 20241 yr I think Lossless Scaling depends a lot on the amount of VRAM being used. I can use it most of the time, but with the FBW A380 it doesn't work well and have to turn it off (or unscale). November 9, 20241 yr Author So the tool used to try and optimize for my current settings/HW is now pushing me to a GPU upgrade 😅. I'm limited to 12 GB VRAM Edited November 9, 20241 yr by Shomron Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs

That's probably it, I just checked in my last flight and I was averaging 9 GB VRAM, reaching a max of 12 GB VRAM...
