December 12, 20241 yr I am glad I searched on the DLSS topic as I have just updated my DLSS files to the latest and could not see 'Ultra Quality' anymore. I can only select 'Quality' which is very good. Does anyone know why 'Ultra Quality' was removed and/or if it is coming back? I am not sure of the main difference between 'Ultra Quality' and 'Quality' if someone can please advise?

Either a bug or intentional, apparently there was nothing mentioned officially about the loss of Ultra Quality. There’s a big theroretical difference between Quality and Ultra Quality. Quality works on a fixed 0,66 factor for DLSS upscaling whereas Ultra Quality gives you the freedom to upscale using any factor you want such as 0,80 or 0,85. This number is set in NVidia Inspector by the user (you). This is great for 4K monitors. The higher this number the more detailed the image on the monitor, but the greater the load on your PC (GPU). For me, I went back to the previous version that allows Ultra Quality. I run DLSS with Ultra Quality at 0,85, in tandem with native Frame Generation. I have a 4K G-Sync Monitor and an RTX4070Ti Super and I am very content with the results. Better than TAA, and the infamous speed tape is perfectly sharp if you also select High Quality instead of the default Quality for a setting in NVidia Control Panel. Edit: I‘m running MSFS2020 Edited December 12, 20241 yr by RaptyrOne GregH Intel Core i7 14700K / Palit RTX4070Ti Super OC / Corsair 32GB DDR5 6000 MHz / MSI Z790 M/board / Corsair NVMe 9500 read, 8500 write / Corsair PSU1200W / CH Products Yoke, Pedals & Quad; Airbus Side Stick, Airbus Quadrant / TrackIR, 32” 4K 144hz 1ms Monitor
