I use GPU-Z to check that the DLSS versions have been correctly "installed" for MSFS (after manually copying the .dll files to the content folder): 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

The put it out there (DLSS versions). They are then responsible for guidance. I think it is up to individual game devs to decide if/when they will upgrade the game version of dlss. NVidia certainly would not be allowed to overwrite a game devs game files at will. They just make the files available to use/ not use. Asobo has chosen not to update dlss version for two years now but it can be manually updated very easily by the end user if they choose. Also, NVidia probably does not publish such info as they can’t openly advocate users to change game files out. That would upset the game devs and in some cases may even break stuff. It really is he game dev’s responsibility. For whatever reason, Asobo just does not update their dlss version but fortunately we can, apparently with positive results. November 14, 20241 yr I wonder tho if they will update the frame generation file any time soon. That one is “falling behind” and is the only one FG users would actually be using in the sim. Hi, Vincent, The same happened to me. I installed the new Nvidia driver 566.14 and this morning I've discovered that the nvngx_dll driver hadn't changed. So, I've changed it manually. Regards
November 14, 20241 yr My MSFS has been running super smooth since installing the new dll so it may have had an impact (though more likely is the fact that I switched off the rolling cache - which seems to cause stutters even though it is on a fast nvme drive). November 14, 20241 yr Author A Driver Update has never ever replaced the DLSS DLL in Games. That's why software like DLSS Swapper exists in the first place. What can be though is that a Driver Update will provide support or compatibility for certain DLSS Features. So best practice should always be to run the latest Driver when installing newly released DLSS DLLs. Edited November 14, 20241 yr by eXpress48
November 14, 20241 yr I notice that people expect the blurred flat screens and 'fruit machine' effect on the tapes to be cured with each DLSS update, but while updates and tweaking settings might help a bit, the main issue is down to Asobo to deal with in sim with some kind of masking (their explanation). I believe Martial was tasked to deal with it, so there you go. Last I heard, when he was asked during a twitch session, the guy he needed to talk to had gone on holiday, that was six months ago of course. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
