None of My USB Controllers Are Working in 2024

Featured Replies

They all show up and function correctly under 'USB Game Controllers' in Windows.  They all show up inside MSFS 2024.  But they do not register any buttons/axis changes.  When I use the Hardware button to see the graph, the dot is not moving when I move the control.

Edit:  Problem solved.  All of my devices are detected.

Any chance people with these problems could tell us which controllers they're trying to use <?>. I'm on the fence about upgrading - and this could be a bit of a deal-breaker ;)

My guess is this:

You have controllers (plural). But the default assignments for every one of your controllers assume that you have only one controller. Therefore, for instance, your yoke rotation is by default assigned to ailerons. But some other axis on another of your controllers is also. And that's what the sim is reading (the one you are not moving). So put "ailerons" in the search by name box and the click on the long list of controllers. You will find the duplicate that is messing you up.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

My guess is because that is what happened to silly me. I had the same problem. And that's how I solved it (above).

I don't think that's the problem in this case.  It doesn't seem to be assigned anywhere else.  Even if it is assigned somewhere else, or even not assigned at all, I should be able to see the controller movement in this screen...

The odd thing is, I KNOW it's detecting movement from the axis because if I move it when trying to assign a different device it says 'WRONG DEVICE', so this definitely smells of some kind of bug.

EDIT: It seems to be the 'scanning' that's the problem.  I can manually assign the control axis and it seems to work.  So a bug with scanning?

Yes that screen is broken also here but I can assign manually axis per airplane. Have not yet found out how to do such for all aircrafts.

Same here about manually assign axis but the dot does not move (I don't think it is supposed to move like it did in 2020. Click the little wheel and you can assign the settings you just made to all aircraft. Be careful not to click on delete or any other dangerous choice. If you click "none" then it will make a profile with nothing assigned.
