FS 2024 Camera Problem

Featured Replies

I have finally setup a Free Flight in the C172 at Blackbushe (EGLK) and somehow entered the cockpit.  Problem is the camera is moving all over the place and not stable, how the heck do I set up a view to look out of the front window from the pilots seat ?

I had the same problem, it was caused by interfering Thrustmaster TWCS hat switch bindings. Once I removed these camera bindings from the TWCS, the problem was solved.

Thanks, I have a X-56 Rhino which I'll disconnect for evaluation purposes.

I've also had my camera views mapped to my hat switch, but removing them didn't help. I've spent hours trying to determine the cause of the misbehaving custom cameras. I've even had one flight with the Vision jet that was amazing, cameras worked great the entire time. Next time I loaded, the cameras had a mind of their own. Something is overwriting the camera settings and it seems very unpredictable and intermittent.  Hope this one gets a quick hot fix because it pretty much makes the sim unusable.

Yeah had the same problems. I also use the mouse for free look and if I moved to quickly the camera would 360 and point to the floor. Then take a minute before I could use it as it lagged up after that.

Had? Resolved now.

My continued camera problems will drive me back to 2020 if not resolved soon. Highly problematic for me.

How can we switch between cockpit camera and external camera

it is not working

I fiddled around yesterday, this below works for me in cockpit view (YMMV, you may want to change up and down movement e.g.). These are the general settings (I believe), still not sure how to change the airplane control section or let alone the specific controls; anyway I made this default I guess and it works. Avoid double bindings, you see the amount of bindings in the white dircle. 1 ist the goal. there are higher numbers for my right mouse click as that counts for each "situation", so cockpit view, external view, character view and whatever is triggered by that right button.. Same zoom, that is also multiple binding for the various 4-5 "scenarios" and all fine. When you have problems to scan the mouse movements, then use the cog wheel in the specific line and select the buttons you want, works like a charme. At least one thing here...
