Fenix Livery Manager

Featured Replies

Hi and Happy Monday

I have taken the plunge and uninstalled MSFS 2020 in favour of MSFS 2024.

My Fenix installer has been updated and the Fenix Airbuses are now installed and working in MSFS 2024.

However, when I open the Fenix livery manager I get the message 'Invalid default MSFS Installation Directory' - and then it goes on to say that 'the default MSFS 2020 installation directory specified in settings is invalid. The default MSFS installation directory has been reset to:....................................and then there is nothing - just a blank space.

When I go into the Fenix livery manger's settings - The MSFS Community installation address for the MS Store version is shown as H:\MSFS 2024......................whereas it should be H:\MSFS 2024\Community. When I try and change it, I get an error message that says 'Invalid MSFS2024 store directory'

What do I need to do to fix this?

Its not working properly for MSFS2024 at this time... Ive tried untold ways to get it to work and simply wont... Fenix will update it and the planes too at some stage..

Easiest solution is to download a livery from another source and place it in your community folder manually... that will work until the LM is fixed..

It's working as it should here.
Fenix do know what they are doing and as long as you have the latest version of the Livery Manager, any problems will be local.

The installation address for the MS Store version is correctly shown as H:\MSFS 2024
If you leave the installer alone do its job, all will be well.

Hi Reader,

If the installation address for the MS store version is correct i.e. H:\\MSFS 2024, why do I keep getting an error message telling me that it is incorrect?

I have uninstalled the liveries that I had previous downloaded, and reinstalled over 30 liveries................none are showing up within MSFS 2024

Hello,
it is most likely that the file structure on your device is not correct.
As I cannot see what you, or indeed @vonduck,  have done, I can only guess.

For example, if you set the Community folder to be H:\MSFS 2024\Community, what will happen is
H:\MSFS 2024\Community\Community.

My point is that when the file structure is correct, the Livery Manager
is working exactly as it should.
Following on from my first two images:

so you will need to find the error at your end and correct it.

It's working for me as well (although the Liveries page within the sim is a little messed up and it takes some hunting around to find the correct livery).

Thanks, me too, but they are there.

well this is odd indeed! Must be my end!

My install of MSFS2024 is E:\MSFS2024... it has its community folder so no issues there...

I changed the MS Store path to the above (so there is no duplication of the community folder..)

However, the actual installation directory will not let me change it...it shows the default path in the C drive

I wonder if i should uninstall and reinstall again?

EDIT: Yep, was my end! I changed the install path to the correct one and closed the LM..when i restarted it, it automatically changed the default install path to the correct one..! Thanks fellas! All good now!

Cannot see how to post screenshots - so having to link them to my dropbox account. The first pic shows what I see on opening the livery manager - the second pic shows my settings and the third pic shows that I have a number of liveries installed for the Fenix A321. When I open MSFS 2024 - only one livery for the A321 is available for that variant of aircraft when I have installed three.

I get it that liveries may be messed up...............but why am I continuing to get the error message?

Here are your pictures:

Are you sure that the Community folder in H:\MSFS 2024 doesn't have a Community folder inside it?
Your picture below seems to suggest that the liveries have indeed been installed, so either they are in a Community folder that MSFS 2024 cannot see, or you haven't yet found them in the aircraft menu.
As mentioned above, they are not where you might expect to find them.

Here is a picture of my own, you do need to click on "Variant" to see all of the liveries.
Perhaps that's where they are hiding

Hi there just joined the topic. I have the same issue. I downloaded many liveries but only a few show up.

When I want to select my default Installation directory it gives me that same error. Now if I read @vonduck's message at the end I can't even select it it will give me the error before. So it won't make a difference if I restart.

Hope there is a solution to this.
