MSFS 2024: Lockheed L1049

Featured Replies

Thought I would try the Red Wings L1049 in 2024 and found it flies very well.

Hand flew a short hop out of Salt Lake City.

Don't know if the AP works, but it was a nice smooth flight.

AP does not work you can't adjust altitude.

Having to hand-fly this one is a bummer... but this NWA Connie looks lovely in FS2024...

Thanks for trying it out...

Nice shot, T. I read that also the PMDG DC-6 seems to work in FS2024.

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

I fly theJust Flight Connie in P3D v 5.4. I don’t know how its characteristic flight model compares with your version. But the one I fly requires close attention to trim, even with the autopilot enabled.

Thanks Bernd.

I'll give the DC-6 a try.

Postscript: Copied it out of the 2020 Community folder into the 2024 C. Folder.

Appears to be all there, but I need to redo my control settings.

Sounds good, engines run, but 4 engine throttle aren't set correctly yet.😀

A WIP!

I regret to inform Bernd, you have come off my Xmas card list!!

I loaded the DC-6 & in the process of setting up the throttles for 4 engines manage to take out most of the Throttle Quadrant settings for 1 & 2 engines, & somehow stuffed up the Logitech E/R/A settings!

Back to square 1!

Luckily I have a Navion Twin  I flew this morning prior to the DC-6 debacle & I can use that to reset my controls.

The joys of MSFS 2024!😀😀

Have I ever been on it? 😄

As I said, I have read it, I didn't say it does work. I have not yet bought FS2024. 🙂

Oh yes, in 1953!

However, 2024 will be worth it eventually, when they iron out the bugs.

It is improving, but tricky to set up as regards bindings & so on.

😀
