Can I start a flight from the EFB?

Featured Replies

Why do I always have to enter the departure/arrival airport on the main screen to start a flight?

Can I not simply enter my data in the EFB and launch from there?

Which sim? 2024? Well, does not matter. No need to select a destination. Just of course a departure airport. In both 2020 and 2024…

I only use that main screen to set my starting position (regardless of the flight plan). And the time of day if I don't want to use the current time. All the flight planning etc I do in the EFB (currently using the SimBrief EFB app for that). Setting your starting position in the EFB would be a bit hard to do... Unless you always and only start a flight on the runway: in that case they could probably program such a feature.

I believe you can... and then "Submit to ATC"...

I load a pln flight plan from the EFB, and send to ATC which starts my flight.

You may have to scroll down to see all options! 😊

This worked, thanks! The less steps are welcome.
